I'm going to cancel my extended warranty, but fees?

I paid too freaken much for my warranty $1683 for 7 year 100g no deductible. Either way I probably won't keep the car past the warranty and trade it in for another new TL in 4 years. Anways when I went to cancel they were charging me a cancellation fee???!!! which they never told me about (of couse I signed the damn paperwork) plus the month and a half and mileage I have used. I thought the warranty started once the manufactures ended? Why are they already penalizing me now? I understand the cancellation fee but not the miles driven already? I only have 2200 miles on it. Help.

They have a hold of your nads. If you signed paper that has that in writing regarding the fees and the mileage, you're up the creek unless they just want to be nice about it.

Did you buy from a dealer? Maybe tell them your plans to buy a new car and guarantee that it won't be from there if they charge you those things?

Ultimately, I think you're gonna have to pay for it.

Consider keeping it and selling it to the next buyer also. You may be able to get better re-sale because of owning it. Just another thought.

There is no cancellation fee past a certain number of days. I forget what it is, but it's IN WRITING. I cancelled mine (paid too much) and re-purhcased at another dealership for much lower, and I paid $0 in fees.

Cancellation fee? I would actually go through your paperwork and read about it. The Acura warranty doesn't have a cancellation fee i think. Plus they can't deduct for mileage because the extended warranty is EXTENDED and covers you AFTER your factory warranty. They are BSING you. I would go and go through your paperwork.

It was not acura's extended warranty the dealer used AON services. Maybe thats why there are fees?
