I like your idea kjsmitty...I think that's what I'm going to do, plus I have the power train warranty until 100k so no problems with the tranny or engine right? Just hope the navi doesn't go

Very very rarely have I heard of Navi systems going bad in these cars.

Haha, watch, mine will probably go bad tomorrow.

Mine too...

Even with the NAV system, the entire system shouldn't fail - possibly just one component etc.. I also remember one individual on the forum that had his DVD unit in the trunk fail and the dealership wanted something like $2K to replace it. He ended up having it repaired or received a re-manufactured one from Alpine? for $275 or something etc... (I can't remember if ours is made by Alpine or Pioneer. My memory is failing me... )

Obviously Lavo - we all are hoping your TL experience is a great one and that none of us have expensive repairs once beyond our warranty period. I only have a few weeks of warranty left myself....

I've been buying Alpine stuff for years and don't recall having any issues with any of their stuff.. Sony on the other hand..

Acura's are very reliable, BUT have had alot of tranny problems. $1700 won't

cover a new trans. I SAY get the warranty Its not that much compared

to a new trans.
