iJDMToy DRL LEDs not working
Hey guys,
Just wondering if you can help me out.
My iJDMToy DRL harness came in, along with 30W cree 9005 bulbs.
It's like -10 degrees Celcius out and I just spent 2 hours trying to get the thing to work.
I've tried everything.
I don't get the DRL error on my dash when the resistors are plugged into the stock harness, but when I remove one of the resistor connectors from the stock harness, I get the DRL error. At least the resistors work right? Still, no bulbs light up.
I even tried directly touching the power wire to the positive terminal and the negative wire from the driver side to the negative terminal on the battery and nothing lights up.
Should be as simple as this:
Now I'm searching up on this forum and many other people have problems with iJDMToy's harness. Do guys think I should keep trying, or just contact iJDMToy and ask for a refund?

I'm not 100% familiar with these products, but I know that LEDs are directional. Did you try switching the way that the bulb connects to the circuit? FYI: LEDs won't get damaged by a reverse polarity voltage such as this, so you don't have anything to worry about.

Yup, tried flipping the bulbs, and no luck.

The thread linked above states you need to connect a black to a red wire. This is what I did as well and it worked great. Been working for a year or so now.

I should have updated this thread but I found the culprit. The connectors from ijdmtoy go in opposite with the Factory socket. I had to cut off the nub that clicks in place from the ijdmtoy connector to be able to flip it.
I have an canadian TL so I have the same drl system as the 07/08 9005 bulb.

This is the same kit I just installed. I had to mess with flipping the connectors back and forth to get it right. As they said above the harness plugs go into your stock harness opposite from how you think they would go it if that makes any sense.
Also both bulbs on both sides have to be connected or nothing will turn on. No idea why that is I just remember trying to test each side as I was installing and nothing worked till everything was plugged in.
If it helps tomorrow in the daylight I will take some pictures of my connections. (I have an 05)

Glad to hear you got it working, I dont know why, but I had to switch the red/black wires on mine like the directions said. Why could they not just get it right from the factory? Nope, well just change the directions... Pay attention to your individual l.e.d.'s The company is a scam with warranty. Half of mine are burnt out after a month and they would not respond after multiple emails, then after warranty was out they did "oh hey there little guy, sorry to hear your bulbs took a shit on ya. Your out of warranty, so feel free to pay $60 for another set of crappy china bulbs that will burn out again" So im rolling around with flickering DRL's... They look good at night when they arn't flickering tho. Here's a pic of mine from last weekend in H-town

For those who need help:
Here's the factory socket (blue):
Notice that there is a slot on the left side of the factory socket. (And no slot on the other side)
The iJDMToy connector has a nub on it which is supposed to "click" in place in the factory socket. They wired it the wrong way. I hope other users didn't have to do what I did and cut off the nub. Maybe it's just Canadian 04-06 TLs, I'm not sure.
The only way to flip the iJDMToy connector is to CUT off the nub so it can be flipped and slide in. Otherwise the nub prevents the connector from going into the socket because there is no slot on the other side (right side of factory connector in above pic).
