I thought that Honda would make the new Inspire the 3G TL because the previous Inspire was the 2G TL. I have no specific insight into why Honda chose the (hurrrrl) current gen Accord as the Inspire, but if they were planning even back in 2004 to introduce Acura to Japan, it might make sense. I'm sure they're going to charge hella money for the TL. Just look at what they're planning to sell the TL for in China--400 000 yuan, almost $49 000 US.

Why did I say that?
Look at Acura TL 1999 - 2001 in Hong Kong when it was new , the price was set at HKD 299,000 ( est. USD 38300). When the TYPE-S model was launched in 2001 as 2002 model in HK, Acura dealer discontinued to import 2002-up TL-P. The price of Type-S model in HK was HKD 348,000 (est. USD 44600) in 2001.
Since it's cheaper to get imported things in HK than China, selling the NEW TL at around 49000 USD is the right price IMO.

Notice the turn signals in the side mirrors:
Notice the tail lights and the reflectors in the rear bumper:

I like the front bumper with the color coded strips in the lower grilles, and also the lights in the mirrors.
Since they don't have the third high mounted brake light requirement in China, there is no need for one, which will save all the problems we are having with light leaking from it and it's falling down or getting loose.

I saw that thread on the upcoming Chinese TL. That was one of Jatt's more useful threads. j/k.
If we can get those side-blinker side mirrors, that'd be cool.
Still hella money, though, that the Chinese have to pay for that. I'm glad I live in Ohio, only two hours from the TL factory, I probably could've driven down there to pick up my car.

OH BOY WOULD I KILL FOR THOSE TAIL LIGHTS AND REAR SIDE MARKERS.......ALREADY DREAMING OF REMOVING THE RED PLASTIC INSIDE OF THE TAIL LIGHTS
IDEA: SSM TL + CLEARED HEADLIGHTS + GREY REAR SIDE MARKERS + CLEARED TAILLIGHTS = ONE F***ING HOT TL

I didn't know you could fit the full nose mask when you have a front skirt kit on! acura.com always asks to 'delete' that as an exterior option if you have a front kit! I guess it works. Can anyone corroborate this?

With the addition of a body kit, you are actually adding more surface area to the car's bumper. Consequently there is not enough existing material in the factory nose mask to cover the additional surface area that the front lip adds to the bumper.
