P.S. You should start measuring distance the way we measure with the Supras... Bus lengths. Some dudes were trying to push my buddy in an auto TT Sup to race an SRT-4 with "500 hp". The Supra was stock except for exhaust. Two times in a row, 2-3 bus lengths. Supra was nice and quiet while the SRT-4 was belching and blowing off while idling.

i doubt his s2000 is 2008.
2004 s2k:
Acceleration
0-30 mph: 2.3 sec
0-60 mph: 6.4 sec
30-50 mph: 2.5 sec
50-70 mph: 3.32 sec
Quarter Mile time<: 14.4 sec
srt are a pos but then they are quick for a POS. just like those monte carlo ss. forgot what that SS for chev called but i know they run like 13s stock.

whoa twinturbo335 whoever that did the s2000 test must be launching it at 2000rpm or something haha!! Check out C&D or Motortrend time, mostly 14-14.2s@~100mph. Also note that 2004-2008 S2000s are about as fast as each other, 2004 model has been proven to dyno at over 240WHP, or around 30 more than AP1 S2k. TOV has the dyno sheets for two different stock AP2 and one's showing 243whp, and other other showing 245whp.

YUP my car is alot quicker then the 04- 05 i have the 06-08 ap2... that is hte best model right now.. I Bet u i can take out your tt335 ill give u 2 cars give u a taste of the s2000 or else u can run my TL ill give you 5 and the move

then thats not that impossible to beat by a 335. lol. a procede v2 ($900) mod will do it. i thought u be breaking like 10s or something because i thought u have nitrous in your car.

I'm not saying that your car is slow but by watching it I do agree with some of the posts on it..your honking really sucks you need to work on it

^ relax dave! I do agree that the first 2 runs, he kinda had a jump start, but the third race, it's pretty obvious to be that the SRT-4 had the jump (you should be able to see and hear it). Also I don't think one extra passenger would translate to like 10 car lengths right? Unless that particular passenger is 500lb+.
DirtyJohn does take his car to the track, and he like he said, he only got a 12.4, did you read all the posts in this thread? If not, it's near the bottom on page 1. Also, if you have been keeping up with John's posts, you will see that he has his own shop, so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing, he used to have a 12 second TL-P too but he totaled it not too long ago. He bought another one though and is currently working on it.

His comments about SRT4s are so slow is a bit rediculous too. He's a got an S2000 that runs 12.4s and here he's racing a typical SRT4 that running anywhere from a 13.7 to a 14.4. WOW! Big shock there. That would be like me taking a C5 Z06 and racing a TLS and saying "damn those TLS' are slow". I still stand by my jump comment. He's honking the horn and he's getting the jump everytime.
It's seems clear to me from the videos I've seen from John that he's here solely for the ego stroke. He's got two fast Honda's, yes. His posts always seems to start out with "I thought X car was faster than that?". Hmmm...maybe if he was stock or mildly modded. I wouldn't call a TL or S2000 with nitrous a mildly modded car. Maybe he should pick on some mid 12 second car and then post the videos and maybe they should be the ones honking the horn? Maybe he should post some slips while he's at it too since he's not your "confirmed" 1/4 mile list.

IMO he's just joking around, and we all know that. It's obvious a stock S2k or TL won't smoke the other cars like that, period. I'd just take it as, "wow, that's cool, wish my TL could do that too!"
He does pick up faster cars (perhaps 12 second cars too) such as 2001 modded vette, modded saleen mustang, pontiac GTO (don't know which version), and Lancer Evo. But I don't think you will like them since they are all street racing too.

the GTO is 13, evo is 12, (not evo X though) depending on how you launch it..oh nevermind, I keep on forgetting the Evo's here are non JDM, and thus slower than the JDM ones...too bad...well at least Honda is not the only company keeping the best to Japan...
