OK. That's my best f&f attempt. Just wanted to let ya'll know I put a Zex nitrous kit on my 04 TL. It's just for fun as I only go to the track 5 or 6 times a year. I put the smallest jets possible (55 HP). No timing changes are needed. Its a "wet" kit so you don't tax you stock injestors like you can on a dry kit. The drive by wire WOT trigger was easy to wire and tune. The whole kit took about 8 hours to install. But I took my time, heatshrink, split loom on all hoses, zip ties everywhere, calls to zex tech dept, etc. I haven't run it at the track, but I'm guessing low 9's in the 1/8th, 13's in the 1/4, 0 to 60 in the mid 5's (5spd auto). On our shoort test it chirped 1st and 2nd WITH the VSA on. I also run the Injen CAI powder coated black so the whole set-up looks very clean. Before the haters post a bunch of crap - 1.this is just for fun at the track, 2. N20 doesn't upset the rest of such a finely balanced car like turbos, sc, or loud ass exhaust. 3. Don't run any Jet chip with N20. You can not have anything that advances timing. Have a happy day. I'll post the track times next week.

I did see the post, but jeez it seemed a little over the top. I kinda bought the car to put stuff in ya know. My kit is transparent in comparison. You can't see anything except the intake. No nozzle, switches, or lines are seen. Now, if you excuse me I going WRX hunting....

Thanks for the words of encouragement bro... It's all for fun. Take it easy. I've gotten beaten more than I've won on the track. I just figured a little squeze would help even things out. The nearby track is only a 1/8th mile so if you have a shitty 60 foot you will most likely lose. The TL always starts catching up at the end, but the whole race last less than 10 seconds so a better start will do wonders. My bud has a wrx so we're planning on running soon- if we all don't blow away in hurricane Ivan.

actually, if its from a roll, you may be able to beat a wrx... if its from a stop, the wrx will most likely win.

How much does the NOX increase the "seat of the pants" feel of the car. I don't race my car at the track or on the street, but i'm curious about the feel of the engine with the extra 55HP. Does it make a difference you can feel immediately? I had a 2001 TL, and then a 2002 TLS, and I really couldn't feel the extra power in the Type S...it was there but just wasn't that all that noticable. When I got the 6MT '04 TL, I noticed a huge difference but I believe it was mostly from the transmission and not the 10 extra HP.

since some think its "sub-woofer" bottles, I think you should double check with circut city...the subwoofer bottles are labled "SAS" not "NOS" and are slightly bigger than a normal 10LB bottle. Further more, here are some pictures for you...

Can't wait to see pics of your install! Car is crazy now with the Nitrous. You shouldn't have a problem hitting those numbers... I haven't had time to take it to the track yet; but according to my GTECH meter these are my times:

Stock
WHP: 198.0hp
WTQ: 179.7ft-lbs
1/8 mile: 10.042sec @ 73.49mph
0-60: 7.042sec
(These seem a little low for stock, so I assume that the numbers with Nitrous are a little higher.)

Nitrous
WHP: 265.0hp
WTQ: 295.4ft-lbs
1/8 mile: 9.438sec @ 80.13mph
0-60: 5.839sec (spinning out 1st gear w/ TCS off)

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I'm picking up a new 6spd TL. Have to wait though cause I ordered white w/navi. Anyway I was wondering what type of fuel computer you guys are running with your NOS setup? Also for the guy running the ZEX kit where did you order it from I went to a local dealer here and he said they didn't have a compatable kit for the 04 TL yet.

Thanks
