I have returned...
Well all, after a year in a BMW, I am back to a TL. I had previously owned a gen2 but was greeted with a blown up tranny at 120k. I decided it might be cool to have a bimmer vert. It was fun while it lasted but as I got out of warranty on that, I was nervous about ugly repair bills. Went out last night and bought an 05 6sp Man w/Nav. Very cool

Welcome back! Your 2G tranny lasted a LONG time, many of them blew long before that. Not as big a worry with the 3Gs. What's your color combination?

You are right...I was fortunate to get 140 out of my old tranny. My new car is as follows:
05 Black and tan 6sp navi. Honestly I could not be happier with the choice. Hopefully I can keep this one around a long time. The Bimmer was fun last summer with the convertible and you defintely get some looks with the car loke that but I am still better off with my TL.
