I hate the stealership

Hi guys. I had the infamous dash problem where the dash cracks right by the passenger airbag, so being the first owner of 05 TL and having only 60K miles on it the Acura customer relations still had me pay $650 out of my pocket for replacement of the new dash. Anyways i got my car back today and on the way home i noticed two scratches. One on the navi screen and one one the e-hand brake. Do you guys think they will care to even fix these problems. On with the pics.

If somehow you can prove that it wasn't there before, they'd have no choice, other than that, I think you're on your own. Sorry to see that. Another perfect example of why I don't take my car to the stealership, they don't give a shit about you or your car. Although, my car is out of warranty I still have extended warranty which allows me to choose my dealership which luckily a friend works at one. Good luck getting it fixed though. Let us know how it goes.

I'd go start with the service manager, see what he says. Then go ask for the sales manager if that helps. They shouldn't want an angry customer at there stealership.

Hope everything works out for you. The acura dealer I use (IMO) has been excellent. I no longer can open my glove box so they are ordering me a new one and not charging me for it. (out-of-warranty). Yes, it does pay to have a good relationship with them.

i would call the service mgr you dealt with and raise it with him to give him a chance to make it right... it is highly likely it happened when they pulled the old dash out that it could have caught on the e-brake handle like that... if you just paid $650 out of pocket, they should make it right... it isn't like you are looking for a handout... be nice about it...

when i took my car in for the PS hose recall, i got the car back with the engine cover scratched to hell... i called my service mgr and he made it right... got me a new engine cover and asked me to bring the car in so he could change it out for me...

That sucks. If you can't trust the dealership who can you trust to change out your dash?

...and when you go there make sure there are other customers around. Remember, service manager is just another term for sales people.

what he said ^^

be nice but firm about how you're unhappy that the interior was damaged and that is NOT how the car came into the dealer.

i ALWAYS look over the car BEFORE i leave to address any issues of carelessness taken around my vehicle. and when i catch them they always make it right (even though it may take a few attempts-dont' even get me started on that, but at least it finally gets done). i always take it in squeaky clean and meticulously kept, that way its easy to find the "issues." plus it helps when my SA knows i'm anal as HELL about my car and i'll bitch about anything if its not right, so they've learned to be extra careful when handling my vehicle when i bring it in.

go back, and make sure YOU leave happy with your car the way you want it. good luck!

bought my tl from a honda dealership, cpo perfect car condition wise 30k miles interior was immaculate, exterior was in pristine condition. i jumped on it, traded in my mazda 6 with a slipping tranny, going forward one month i had problems with my cd/radio unit (girlfriend stuck a cd in there that didnt read and it got jammed) went to service department 3 months ago to open a case under extended warranty. the service advisors there are terrible, i was told that they couldnt touch it because it was an acura and they would have to pull the head unit, so u mean to tell me i have an extended warranty with your dealership and you cant perform the job. they were going to "look into it" to get me a replacement headunit and i may have to go an acura dealership to get it replaced. they would call me. now that the cd player was jammed the thing kept spinning and spinning and spinning and its not the most pleasant noise to listen to while driving. i didnt even stress it i had my radio and i jus let time go by waiting for a call. eventually the motor in the cd changer went out noise stopped and i figured the thing was fried. still no call back from them. fast forward another month the radio now starts acting up and basically would not work what so ever. it would pop and turn off change the station on its own. ive had it at this point. i went to the dealership itself and very politely and calmly spoke to the financeer i dealt with as the salesman was no longer at that dealership. had him come out listen to the problem, in turn he had the gm come out listen to the problem. right than and there on the spot the service manager was called by the gm. long story short i dealt directly with the service manager he had me in and out, went in when i scheduled with him had his head tech pull the radio for me, he even said to me i dont want any of the other technicians touching your car to not mess anything up. not one issue with trim or anything. the only downside i had no headunit for two days. he had my unit sent overseas and within two days had a brand new unit waiting at the parts department. i get a call from service saying your part is in schedule an appointment, go see service advisor. so i go in the day of and speak to service advisor he tries telling me the part isnt even here yet and that i needed a check in slip, i said buddy i have an open case already i dont need anything i need to speak to jeff (service manager). guy had the ultimate attitude even tried telling me i need an oil change when i got it last week LOL monitor @ 100%. so he comes out goes are you gonna wait for this to be done or are you leaving and coming back to pick it up i said no im gonna wait. he tells me its gonna take three hours for them to put the headunit in. once again i said ok sure im waiting. jeff finally comes out to greet me personally pulls my car in the bay and personally oversees installation with head tech. i was in and out in ten minutes time. moral of the story if u want something done and u want it done right u gotta go to the top and definitely dont become a raging lunatic bc than they wont even want to look your way. got my radio installed been working flawless everything is on point. i didnt even ask for my old cds back he tells me any cds u have had in the old unit will be sent here ill call u up and u come pick em up. he def took care of me i bought him breakfast just for doing the right thing by him and he gave me his cell number to contact him in the future if i ever need anything. thats how things r supposed to be. but these advisors are something else.

Gungrave, everyone is right. If you politely point out that these 2 things weren't there before the dash replacement, they will hopefully take care of it for you.

damn OP....i feel for ya...

i quit going to the dealership when then put a dent in my trunk and a gouge in my bumper....I told the service manager and he told me it wasnt done here....He also said the guy who list all the dent when you bring the car in, is on break we will wait until he comes back and i left my car there so they dont pin it on me....when i come back he has a copy of the stuff on my seat....

I called the cops and explained what happened....the service manager comes out and tells the cop "hey your brakes are squeaking, want us to take a look at it? its just a minute job"....the cop tells me the gouge was at least a month old and kinda dismisses my case....I just flicked em off (not really but in my head) and walked away....

Since that day I have never been to a dealership....
