Talking I Got One!!!

Finally...

Black on Black 5AT with Navi.

Got a call at at 4:30pm from a dealership I sent an email to.
One had just rolled off the truck.

I gave quick instructions not to screw in the front license plate frame, and agreed to go down later tonight.
I got there at 8pm and the car was mine by 9pm.

I got $1000 off of list, and they threw in the protection package.
I immediately spent these savings on the upgraded 7Y/100K warranty.

Wow, what a great car. I spent the entire trip home playing with gadgets (paying way too little to the road.)

Now I just have to RTFM.

Nick,

What dealer? How was your experience with them?

Sounds like a pretty good deal for SoCal!

Congratulations!

Sierra Acura in Alhambra (I probably can't spell)

Experience was great and hastle free. About the only thing I didn't get was the trade in price I wanted on my existing car, so I passed on that. But I'll be able to see it private party fairly easily; it's a Mustang Cobra Convertible.

It's just amazing how easy things can go nowadays. I got a call. I went down. I got a car. I didn't even take any money with me.

Plus points: No front license plate installed. Got the protection package.
Negative points: I'm gonna have to Zaino it this weened. I'm gonna have to RTFM.

"Life sure is tough" he thought to himself as he settled into his heated leather seats.

Aren't you required to have front license plates in CA?

Its $25 every time you get popped without that front plate. I spent $75 in tickets on my 2002 Type S before finally realizing how ridiculous I felt.

Also, the front plate will help protect your bumper for getting scraped and dinged as much.

BTW, I got $1200 off msrp in LA on November 4th

Traded in my TL Type S, paid the dealer for the upside-down portion of the lease, and then made the deal on the '04. I don't want to say which dealer, but keep in mind there's a long list of people waiting for Navi models, so unless you have some history with a dealer, you may have a little trouble making this deal happen (a basic supply/demand issue). Just be nice, friendly, but insistant, and tell the dealer he'll be earning your business away from another dealer with whom you've done several deals in the past. That might help.

My 1998 Cobra has no front plate. Despite the fact it's a cobra (cop-magnet) I have never received a front-plate ticket. (Got a couple of speeding tickets though. )
