So I dropped my 07 TL off for some warranty work this morning and had my choice of a 2010 RDX or a 2010 TL for a loaner. I chose the TL, this thing feels like a tank. It feels really heavy and sits high. This TL does not have the tech package, but I don't know if that would have made a difference, but I am not a fan of the inside of the car either. I am glad I got to drive it because now I appreciate my TL even more and know that I do not want the new one.

Did it have navigation?

Ive had a 2010 TSX and the ZDX as a loaner and both had the new Navi system, non-touch screen, that knob that you have to use to select the letters and to navigate thru the options is a nightmare.

They said touch screen was bad while driving

I think Acura needs to reconsider going back to Touch again.

I think in order to get nav you have to have the Tech Package (correct me if i am wrong) but i agree with Acura's new line up. the only one i would ever consider buying is the MDX Tech.

Those non touch screen navigations are a pain in the ass. I used one in a 2010 RX350 and that wasn't a very fun experience. I had a RDX SH-AWD before and that was a pretty fun vehicle to drive.

I heard from a salesman that in the 2012 model year Acura is going to do a redesign of the TL to resemble the 3rd generation as the 4th gen is a hard car to sell with it's fat upper lip grille and pinched ass trunk deck.

We'll see.

Feel the same way! Some how the new ugly grill looks good on the MDX.

I've commented to Acura how ugly the car is when they send me questionnaires. I'm an OLD guy and I think its fugly!

Not a redesign, a MMC. They're redoing the front grille to make it smaller, maybe different head lights, flatter trunk with a smaller trim piece at the bottom, modified rear reflectors. 6AT transmission. Different wheels are also likely. It'll have an Advance package available among other new options.

But OP sorry to hear. I can't stand the FWD 4G TLs, but the SH-AWD seems really nice.

You must be talking about the 4 cylinder 2010 TSX's because the loaner I drove was a V6 and in no way boring or a tank. IMO it had better low end torque than my 08 Type S AT. I do got to admit that interior without navigation was frankly speaking disgusting. Also, the material they used on the dash was in no way pleasing to the touch or to the eyes. From the outside though the new TSX and 4G TL are not as bad as many people make em out to be and I find although many may disagree with me that the 4G and 2G TSX could very well over time grow on you slowly. But then again grow on you or not paying close to 40k on both fully loaded packages should not be a comprise in any way there are plenty of other options to choose from in that price range that one would not need to compromise like the new g37 4 door sports sedans mmmmhmmmmm.

On a side note Acura makes beautiful midsize SUVs in my opinion the RDX and MDX turbos are suberb.

The front end is definitely a 3G throwback. I wish they would've worked on the back, but the front needed more help anyway.

i'm gonna say my least favorite thing in the new tl is the arm rest.... i HATE that they have a half circle in them. thats where i rest my arm jerks.
