How to remove the rear "A" emblem?

I couldn't find an exact DIY or any details on how to remove the rear "A" emblem? I need to remove it to paint, can someone explain or show me how? Thanks.

You can remove it simply by using the same technique as you did taking the other badges off.
Problem is you'll have 2 holes left on the trunk. I think that'd be something you'd bring to a shop to have bondo'd/painted. Kind of alot of work for a minor detail IMO.

EDIT: Err. I misread your post. Using a heat gun and either floss, or fishing line, apply a little heat around the emblem, and get behind it using the floss/fishing line. Use a sawing motion to cut through the adhesive and it will pop right off.

But aren't there some screws in the back of the emblem? Ive taken off the other emblems using the same method, but those did not have any holes. I was just assuming this would be a bit different since there were holes. So I should just use heat and floss also? Thanks!

Not screws. Pins. They just pry/wiggle them out.

Then when you put it back on, painted, put some 2-sided tape and align the pins with the holes in the deck lid.

No there is no screws in the back they simply just pop off, I used a flat head screw driver with a towel at the end so I wouldn't scratch the paint

^The problem with doing that is the emblem may crack since it's rather thin and hollow.

OP I loosened around my emblem with floss and such and then took off the trunk lining and pushed the emblem out that way.
