How to remove inspection sticker???

Does anyone know a good way to get a Hawaii state inspection sticker off? The dealer put the sticker on the bumper and it’s not coming off very easily. The sticker is the consistency of the registration stickers that go on everyone's license plates, but it’s four times as large and on paint. Thanks for your time.

P.S. I live in Cali now so it’s not illegal.

You can try a product called "goof-off" or "goo-gone". usually found at Home Depot, Lowes. It works great on removing adhesive from anything. I used it to remove the left over adhesive from the dealer nameplate sticker.

Just spray a small amount on a soft cloth and wipe until it's gone. It shouldn't harm the paint if you take your time.

This might be a sticky problem.

Try a hair dryer or a heat gun, not too high heat, and try and soften the adhesive so you can peel it off.

You could also try something like WD-40, which I don't think will hurt the paint. Appy it sparingly to the sticker. If it is plastic it may not absorb any, but maybe a little bit around the edge to get it started will help.

Since your probably not near the dealer anymore, going back to him and complaining is not an option, so good luck with this.

You might try posting this in the Wash & Wax Forum and see if you get any additional help.

Definitely "Goo-Gone" after heating up with hair dryer & peeling it off.Won't mar finish.
I'd refrain from using WD-40.That stuff has petroleum products in it.
