Picked up my '05 in October '04, just turned 20,500 miles this morning. I drive about 2000-3000 miles per month for work. So far, so good.

How old/How many miles...

Well i'm prolly one of the few here that just purchased their 05TL... but here it goes. Let me know what you guys think.

Purchased: July 26th and i currently have around 925 miles. From where i live to where i work is about a 30-35 min. drive so this is where the bulk of my miles will be coming from. However, i love to getting up in the mornings to make the trip to work and also getting off to make my way back home because the car is just AWESOME!!!!

I bought mine in 2/04 and I have 39,000 miles. No probelms except rattles, paint chips on front end and a droopy headliner over the rear brake light.

The tires are very bad on wet pavement but we all know that.

2004 TL, purchased Oct 3rd, 2003.

Over 44,000 miles on it. I used to commute 35 miles each way to work daily, plus sometimes on nights and weekends while on-call. Then I moved and the drive was 68 miles each way.

Luckily I quite, and now work from home so the car doesn't get much miles on it anymore .

I bought mine in April of 2004 and I now have 32,000 miles. My daily commute is about 60 miles a day. And I do about 100-150 miles on the weekends.

I guess I'm also in the high mileage club. The car hasn't given me any real trouble yet.

The rattles get to me sometimes. But I just try to ignore it now and turn up the radio.

Just took a road trip to Boston and she cruised through like a champ.

My TL got delivered in April 2005 and I am looking at 6500 miles so far. I don't know how anybody can possibly lease a car and keep it under 12000 miles a year.

I agree. With such a fun car to drive, it would be difficult to limit your driving.

I got 11.300 miles on my 05 NBP TL. Got it 1/1/2005. The car had A1 service at 5000 miles and B service at 9800 miles. One major call out are the tires. I have 8/32 left on my Michellins. Not sure how long does the stock Michellin's last. But, everything is great!!

My TL pretty much gets used only on weekends and for road trips. My two Toyotas get the bulk of the "daily driving" use, with the Corolla getting the greatest amount of use (less than 500 miles/month).

Had my TL for 16 months since April of 2004. I have 4,000 miles.

But, I've Zaino'd it about four times, if that counts for anything.

My Jeep Wrangler is my daily driver. My office is less than one mile from home.

So, Lee.... I think I beat your record.

I think I can deal with your having lower mileage, it's just the fact that you work less than one mile from home that KILLS ME!

I take the dreaded Long Island Rail Road, have a 1hr+ commute that costs over $260/month! The TL has never been to the train station parking lot. That's what the Corolla and Solara are for!

My car will get the Zaino treatment for the first time next month. I'm going to try the stuff on the Solara too.

Regards,

Almost 23 months, 22k miles only.

A friend of mine in CA got another early-build and have run almost 55k+ so far, I bet some people are having more than that.

The sad part is, she's only 3 months old (took delivery on May 1st). The reason why I have so many miles is because I commute between San Diego and Los Angeles on a daily basis.

Bought November 2003, only have 13630 miles.

How many miles

Picked up new September '00. Now just over 175,000 miles. Engine fabulous, Castrol Synthetic it's entire ife and never burns a drop of oil. Tranny, well that's another story but out of pocket cost has been $0 for tranny. #4 packed up at 152K and dealer took care of it at N/C. 2 sets of brakes, one set of front rotors, one battery. Other than tranny this car has been just about perfect. Time for second set of tires to be replaced. Shocks would definitely be a goods thing as well. Toyo Proxes on back still have fairly good tread at approaching 100K on the tires. I commute 120+ miles per day and the car is still fabulous.

Funny thing... on a typical day, I will run/walk 6 miles before I go to work... then, I drive to work because....

I need to travel often from work and it would take extra time to have to walk home and get a car.

Or, I could just leave my New Balance running shoes in the middle of my "Reserved for (XP)" parking space.

I think mmade22 would own this thread.

As of now, my car is four and a half years old and has 33,3XX miles on it...putting less on it now than when I posted in this thread a few years ago.

Check in once a month on the soon to be 105k thread and beyond I will start soon. I don't have the most now but if all goes well, it will in about a year or two. Just hit 105,500 miles today. 1700 for the five day work week.
