how much should i expect to pay?
I was thinking about picking up a Anthracite/Ebony/6spd/Navi this week, and the dealers keep crying that there is no room to bargain because the Navi is hard to find. The sticker price looks like around 35K... can anyone tell me if I can do better than sticker price?
Nope!
Shoogy,
I do not think so. Most of the people on this forum have paid MSRP for 6MT navi. You can get some free goodies like protection package but no discounts yet. All the best though.

Today I received an email offer from a local dealer for $30,500 for a non-navi TL.
It is the end of the year - the dealers are really trying to make their numbers! You should be able to do at least $1000-1500 below MSRP at this time. DON'T go for the sob story.

I bought the exact car you are looking for on Christmas Eve, 3:00PM. Anthracite, Ebony, 6 speed, w/ navi and protection package.
The entire negotiation took only 20 minutes. They opened with MSRP+$500 for protection package, I countered with 34k, reasoning that while the navi is an $2000 option, I could realistically get a non-navi for about $32k (32+2 = 34, any higher than $34k I feel like I am paying too much for the navi). They came back with 34.6K, I offered to split the difference at 34.3k. They came back again at $34,350, and we shook hands on that.
I know I was extremely lucky because that car was ordered by someone a few months back. That person decided to wait, and I took his car. VIN 18xxx. I walked into the dealer for the first time at 1:00PM that day, and drove the car home by 5:00PM.
Good luck to you

I got it in LA. I was there for the holidays with family, but I knew I would come home with a car. Based on Carsdirect.com, pricing appeared to be lower by almost $1k in LA on the non-navi. Figured I would have a little more leverage down there to negotiate.
Good luck. Someone said they got a their TL with Navi from Mike Harvey in Burlingame for $35k, with a few more option than I have.
