I have a 2005 TL. The front bumper looks good but could look better, i also have a scrape on the right side of it so i'm looking to have it repainted...what can i expect to pay ....

 

Color is also a problem eg WDP it takes many attempts/test sprays to match the body paint exactly.
MAACO on special $149, but a body shop $400/$800.

 

Depends on what exactly needs to get done, and to what level of quality you want. If the repair labor cost exceeds, or is near the cost of a new bumper cover, might as well just get a new OEM bumper. Your current bumper might be rattled with chips and pits in the surface considering it's an '05, so you could have the scrape repaired, and prime the whole bumper or just get a new bumper. If your just looking to repair a minimal scrape and repaint, should be about 350-500. Replacement OEM, around 550-650. Just ball park figures, your going to have to call a few shops to get get quotes. Generally the higher quality shops, w/ lifetime paint work warranties cost more money.

Either way, make sure the shop is removing the bumper for prep/paint. Also don't except any partial panel spot repairs. I would go to a shop that's familiar with Acura's. A familiar, high end shop will be the best bet for a good color match, and not getting taxed to color test.

 

DUDE! Dont go cheap... I found out the hard way with my SSM. The painter said "Don't worry, I can't get the exact color by using your vin number".... so I took the bumper off at home & droped it off... a few days later I get a shiny newly painted bumper & it looks great... UNTIL I PUT IT ON!
