If you have to post this question on the Azine forum, then you shouldn't be trying to do this paint job without the help of a professional.

So wouldn't you bring your car to a shop and have them give you an estimate? There are many things you need to take into consideration when figuring out the cost of a paint job, for example, paint quality, number of coats applied, labor costs, etc....

Based on the vagueness of the question and your punctuation skills, I would get several estimates and have someone else review it for you.

Jeeze! I honestly don't mean to flame you, but for god's sake, can anyone communicate properly anymore?

Well, to be fair...If he is indeed posting from Italy, maybe English isn't his primary language.

Regarding the OP, it sounds like you first need to find a shop you trust. Don't bother trying to calculate paint quantities and costs because that's only .003% of the effort of getting your car repainted.

What color do you want your car to be?

ROFL .... WHAT is a wonderful thread

Years ago, when I worked in a car shop, people who wanted a "custom paint job" (from the factory, like a pink Caddy for a Mary Kay rep) would get 4 extra gallons of paint... for "lifetime" refinishing / touchup.

Modern paints are different -- usually a base coat, metallic primary, and finish clearcoat -- but you're only talking about the primary as the custom hue. If it's all one color, then, two gallons will give you an ample safety margin.

OTOH, if you're going to the trouble of doing a custom job it's ridiculous to keep the car monotone.

Suggest you watch a few episodes of "Pimp Mah Ride" while you practice you remedjal Engrish, yah?

After the paint job, buy some eggs and bring them to Denny's to have them make breakfast.
