How much to fix this dent?

This Type S just popped up on CL but I noticed the dent above the driver side rear wheel. Anyone know how much it might cost to fix?

Depends what body shop you go to but unfortunatetly that one is in a real bad spot so its an expensive fix in general, definitely over $500 but then again if thats the only one on the car its definitely worth fixing.

Unfortunately that one is in a spot where I don't think paintless dent repair is doable. So your probably looking at bondo and a full repaint of that panel which is too bad because that sucks.

Yep thats a bad spot, paintless isnt possible unless the guy is REALLY good. It depends on where you live and who you know, but Id say over $500

Even if the guy is really good he wouldnt be able to fix it completely you'd still see it because its on one of the body lines. Wonder how that even got dented because thats a pretty awkward spot.

^^^ yup exactly! Infact, on a previous TL I had a VERY small ding in the similar spot, so small that probably wasnt even worth asking, but even the small one the guy said no way. And this was a reputable shop. he said there are multiple layers of metal there. He basically told me he is good, but not THAT good lol.

I went to look at it over the weekend and the dent is worse than I expected. It was kept outside the whole time so there is a lot of rust around rotors, lugnuts and front grill. Even the side mirrors were stained.

Last December I swiped my Garage in the exact same spot, looks identical to the damage on my car - Costed me $750 to repair. Other shops had me at around 1000-1200

If you're interested in the car, ask a dent guy to come with you to check out the car before you buy it to give you an estimate of what it would cost to fix. The owner probably won't like it, but you deserve to know exactly what you're buying into.

Instead of asking us, why don't you just go and do comparison shopping?
