How much did you spend for your Window Tinting?

I just want to see how much did other paid for professional tinting on their TL?
I got quoted for 220, and that's for 5 window, which I think is pricey. So how much did you paid for the tinting?

what kind of film is that pricing for?
i paid 250 for 5 windows. this was 3m color-stable tint.
the shop i went to also had the regular-cheap kind for 200.
it depends on the tint film/quality of the work.

I went to a guy in Los Angeles who charges $250 per car for tint, and he uses 3M, which is an awesome film. Since I know him, he gave it to me for $150.

But, today I went and got Hüper Optik film put on with the felt lining, because I didn't get moleskin installed the first time . It cost me $465 for the new film, which is A LOT, I know, but it is supposed to be the best tint film on the market.

My car was tinted for free by the acura dealership in exchange for giving them all 5 stars on the survey.

My mom got her windows tinted yesterday. She paid $220 for CS film for 3 windows on her 2008 Accord coupe. They want us to come back and pay $80 for the front two windows.

$200 for all 5 windows (technically 7 cause of the little ones on the rear passenger doors) Make sure you get the moleskin or you tints WILL get scratched up in a couple of month. I made that mistake cause I did not know

Im curious as to why it normally takes a month+ for the scratches to show up. About 6 months ago I had 35% Platinum Plus put on all around, and all of my windows except the passenger back side are fine. Just in the past week, I have noticed at least 5+ small hairline scratches going vertical.

Why does it take so long for scratches to start appearing?

Has anyone used the moleskin from tintprotector.com? he has posted a lot here...results? did you apply the moleskin or pay someone else to?

Its the dirt particles that get stuck that cause the scratching, so sometimes depending on where you live, whether you garage your car or not, and the amount of dirt that gets in there, it may take longer for these scratches to develop.

550 for Formula One. Moonroof + 5 windows + moleskin. Make sure they fully tint the rear window. It was expensive, but its covered for life against scratches and I got a sticker for one window to be retinted if i damaged myself.

Great experience with the tinter for the most part, although he never told me that he damaged my center tail light until one day it fell off when I was driving. He went to the dealer and ordered a new part.

When you get your car tinted, I would double check the seal of the center brake light cover. It should be well sealed and not allow any light to bleed into the cabin. The way the cover is made, two of the tabs are molded into cover, so if the tinter breaks it they may just try to hide it and hope you dont see it because it is a 70 dollar part.

Thanks everyone, Now it gives me an idea of how much to spend on tinting. The one i got the estimate from say they uses high premium quality tinting that will never turn color or fade. but I am probably going to look around and see if there any place cheaper. By the way I live in SF, Ca. so yeh. Checked online and saw this place in Belmont that does tinting and have alot of positive/good review. Maybe i'll check it out.

Thanks everyone for their response(s).

llumar tint at tropical tints in union NJ. wouldnt really recommend them though since they advised me not to put moleskin. so i said what about the scratches. they said they wont be liable since the car was manufactured that way. meaning, if the tints scratch, they wont do shit about it. and a couple of days later all the windows scratched.

paid 290$ after tax.
