While I agree that daikon38's price is good, you might be hard pressed to get the dealer to match it again. They wouldn't for me, stating "As much as I'd like to sell you a car, the manager won't match it because demand is so high right now that we're presold on these cars, and the one that's not presold will sell for MSRP."

I had been working with John Bruno of Oakland Acura since May of 2003 so we had a business relationship already.

I even brought in my deposit slip from another dealer promising the price I negotiated to show them I was serious about buying from them if they could match the price, but they wouldn't take it. (This was when I didn't like how Stevens Creek was treating me and was ready to take my business elsewhere).

Best of luck. Depending on your color choice, many cars already have deposits on them.
