How Much For Clear Bra?

Hey guys, I'm an 05 TL owner from Chicago.
How much did yall pay for CLear bra installs and for which package?
Just want to get an idea of the prices so that I don't get ripped off.
And any good places in Chicago that you want to recommend?

It all depends on the coverage you would be getting, and that is full or partial bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, door edges, etc.

But $500-650 installed for those areas should pay for it in Chicago, again depending on the coverage. Make sure you get a good quality install or you will be wasting your money.

Good luck, Mark.

I had mine installed by Body Skins (www.bodyskins.com) in the Chicago suburbs about 6 weeks ago. The owner (Rick) came to my garage and installed the full kit. I had him install a full hood kit, bumper, fenders, side mirrors and horizontal surface of the rear bumper. He did that for $550 (negotiated down from $600). I then had him install 20ml film on the headlights for additional protection. That was an extra $80.

If you talk to Rick about getting this done, tell him that Rob from Schaumburg sent you. I told him I would mention him here and he agreed to cut a good deal for you guys.

It looks great and really makes a difference. Super easy to clean.

That's a good price for the install and he uses 3M film. I would highly recommend the headlight protection kit also. I'm sure you can work a deal or better yet, if there are other people interested in PPF you maybe able to arrange a one day install on 5 or more cars. The cost to each individual may be less. Might be worth a shot if you talk to the owner. We did a group thing and the cost was $500. This included the hood (approx 20 in. fr. to back), entire front end, fender, side mirrors, top of the rear bumper, door guards and headlight protection. Do psot some pix when you get it done.

I would not recommend the headlight 20mil protection. It is a PVC material, basically plastic. It doesn't hold up well in high temperatures. I know because I had a lot of bubbling on them (customers coming back). I would suggest 14 mil urethane. Even though it is thinner, it gives you the same protection (PVC vs. urethane properties) and hold up in high temperatures better.

Good luck, Mark.

Had mine done with 3M PPF for $700CDN. They told me that if I get asked about prices to say $1,200CDN for anybody else.

The whole hood was covered with 1 piece, the top of the front fenders blending down the side about 6 inches, both mirrors and the whole front bumper.

Best regards
