I strive for no attention, especially from the police.

 

In this area there's so many high end vehicles it's hard to get noticed in a base model, even if it is a Type-S! It's people that have or had at one time a TL that say anything. Once I get the mods started that will change

 

My car gets a good amount of attention on the road and by friends, family and coworkers. I happen to be lucky in that my brother and a lot of male coworkers are all very into cars also and notice subtle changes I make and like talking about future mods.

On the road, it gets a good amount of attention especially if I roll the window down and people realize it's a chick driving it. In this area of Long Island, TL's are dominated by men so it's normally a shocker, especially if we're racing a little. A few guys have nearly crashed in shock of it.

 

95% of the time, I dont even get a second glance

He meant that the 3G TL had drawn cues from the Alfa Romeo 159.

 

Isn't it the other way around though? The TL came out in 2004 while the 159 came out in 2005.

 

Not to jump in; but I think he's referring to the highly discussed fact that Acura seems to have taken cues from Italian automakers, such as Alfa Romeo with the design of the 3G TL.

i always catch people just mugging my car at intersections and i also get many compliments on my black rood and tinted windows, they also tell me im crazy for tinting my windshield

the girls love the headrest monitors and sometimes my boys will ask me if they can say its their car when they are trying to impress a girl

 

Well I got no attention today. As I was leaving class about 6-7 Acuras were behind me (No joke). I think its time to mod .

 

Alot more than my 2003 Infiniti Q45 Premium edition(much more luxurious).

I got the car off of member Whdrms. Its an 04 WDP with A-spec lips/spoiler and intake with quad-tip exhaust. Also got the white led/orange turn signals. I guess because its sportier/sounds nicer people look.

People have been telling me they like this car better, though i dont i miss my heated/cooled seats and the rear reclining seats and curtains. People also try to race me, which is no good since i just flipped and wrecked the Q at 75mph!

 

i just got my TL on the 28th of feb. i've already upgraded all the interior lights to LEDs, and i've gotten a few "looks" at night... today i installed a LED light strip for my fogs in the lower grill, and replaced the foglight bulbs for some Nokya hyper whites. 6K HID's will go in when the kit comes in... LOVE THE TL

 

Not too much but I could care less. If I wanted a flashy car I wouldn't have bought a TL-S. I would have gone for an m3 instead.

 

My TL is completely stock, except for my led license plate lights. I'll get looks even if its stock especially when I take it to my university. People there drives BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's, Infinti's, etc...and I'll still get looks

I'm just going to add Aspec lip kit, aspec suspension, 19'' RDX rims, TL-s quad exhaust, and tint my windows. That's about it. I don't want to over kill it when the TL looks great as it is.

 

I drive a 07 Type S with the A-Spec kit and OEM door visors. I get attention on a daily basis. Being that I'm a girl might be helping though...lmao

Same amount that any other "nice" car gets. The old women working the drive-thru at Starbucks in the morning tend to compliment it fairly often.

I've had mine for about 27 hours now, gotten way too many looks ... scary. I parked my car and walked away from it at lunch, group of guys walked around it staring at it. I didn't grab lunch until they left.

dammit the paranoia begins! argh

 

please... try doing deliveries leaving your car there in a parking lot with carts and inconsiderate people

The stock 3G TL's that I run into seem to notice subtle changes I made to mines. They creep up, switch lanes & drive by slowly just looking. & for some reason when there's traffic & I run into a ricer/tuner/muscle car, they always try to pick a race with me. That or they start driving all aggressive for no reason.

 

ive had a couple complements on my car mostly from car guys and mechanics. i have the black tl on bronze tenzo 19'' rims dropped and headrest tvs

 

i got one the first day from a girl " yo you have a hot car "
then from an old man " i really love the wheels you have on the car "
my friend " your car is sick..keep it the way it is "
a couple of more but i get them once in awhile

 

i got comments like, nice car, what kind of car is it? its pretty, and when i had my 08 accord coupe i was driving home at night from a club and a group of girls in a car flashed me and was like thats a nice ass car and yelling...they seem really drunk tho lol. my accord was dropped with hfp kit. =D it was a neckbreaker tho..

 

my tl is stock so far so of course i didnt get as much as my accord

 

A small kid may be a 12 years old, rolled down his windows and snapped the pic of me / or my car, at the stop sign. Besides that I got few compliments from strangers.

 

I've definitely had my fair share of compliments on the car. I painted my stock rims flat black the 2nd week I got my car and a ton of people told me I did a great job on them since it looked OEM.

I don't get a crazy amount of attention but it's enough to put a smile on my face. I love my TL.

The TL is pretty damn popular in New Jersey though.. I've seen a LOT of TL's in Hoboken and Jersey City. All mostly stock though.

 

Well... I got pulled over by the cops for not having the taillight led plugged in all the way, which looked like I had a brakelight out. First thing he said when he walked up to my car was "Sweet Ride". He took my paperwork and headed back to the car, I got out and fixed it and he then let me go. I then looked at my lil bro and we both started to laugh.

And there has been many other times when people have said that they liked my car.

 

i get compliments pretty regularly on my car. people from work, customers coming into my work, guys at the dealership, stop lights, basically pretty much whenever.

the car gets a lot of looks and i can understand why, the 3G TL is a sexy car whether it is stock or modified...but it is a VERY sexy car when modified correctly and tastefully.

ask yourself how many cars do you see on the road that look as nice as the 3rd gen TL? not many. plus in my area, it is rare to see a hooked-up TL...i've only seen a few, so i feel good knowing i'm not playing a copycat game. i also love working on my car and modding it to my needs, i look forward to each n every project on it.

I don't get many looks either.. too many MB's, Beemers, Audi's and such around that no one notices the love and attention my baby gets... she deserves the love from adoring fans... or.. not

 

once i added the A-Spec kit, CAI, Dynomax Resonator and A-spes 18x8.5 Gunmetal with black roof, Blackout Headlights, Window Visors and Tints i'm getting lots of compliments!! i wonder when i get coilovers and drop it i will get even more!! btw i'm gonna be heading to NJ where AckTL05 is to do my accord mod today! pics coming soon!!
