Post How many TL's have backup sensors?

Just wanted to see how many TLs are out there with backup sensors installed? I bought mine an year old and seemed like the original owner checked every option box when he was buying it. Pretty sweet ride and all the available options (except for ground effects kit). But I never saw another TL with those sensors on at least not in this part of the world!

Not here. I have a 2005 TL and would love a backup CAMERA like the new ones have though. Anyone have an aftermarket one that uses the navi screen? I'm not technically inclined to install myself though. Suggestions welcome.

I got back up sensors. They are nice here as we have 2+ft curbs.

I don't have it on my 05. IMHO- I do like the idea of the sensors being it a safety issue and all but I don't like the looks over those little circular things being in my bumper.

Got Back up sensors

AND the big/tall spoiler that Acura installed on the 2004. Can't imagine trying to back without the sensors! They have helped a number of times. <g>

gawd no... A #1 reason... They look fruity, hide them and I'd be all over them... You know 'they' could make the bumper cover so the sensor hides behind the cover... But I s'pose it like anything 'trendy' these days, gotta make sure the Jones' know you got them!

I got both the spoiler and the sensor,

they work great.

a little problem with the wiring, cost 180 to fix it at dealer.

Ditto!! I hate seeing those sensors on expensive cars, with modern technology I can't belive they can't find a sensor that will work through the bumper cover.

I got the OEM sensors... and later added an aftermarket camera.

They may be kinda ugly, but a rear scrape/dent is uglier. 19 months later, 27K miles later, with weekly trips into DC, my TL's finish is still Zaino fresh (minus a few minor stone chips from the highway).

TL has a big ass, and a small profile rear window. I've been driving for 17 years, this is not my first car, but parallel parking this bitch in the city is tough.

My sensor/camera make city dwelling damage free...

Not to mention, I think they help all the jackass parking attendants that hop in your car and disappear into the parking garage. I cringe everytime I'm forced to hand over the keys to them.

I had the sensors installed when I bought my car, and while I agree that they are not at all stylish, the service that they provide is great. I had to park in DC in those under ground parking lots where the space is really tight, you have to park backwards and let me tell you that it allowed me to leave 3 inches of space between the back of my car and the wall, without the sensors it would have been imposible.

I love those sensors, i only wish i opted for them when i picked up the car. Father's 07 Odyssey has both front and rear sensors + the camera...Things are so much less tense, especially when parallel parking into tight ass spots downtown ...watching the curb and the car behind u can be a handful...Some may say it is a luxury but its now becoming more available as an option in almost every vehecle. . . Personally i see so many people on a daily basis that DO NOT know what the hell they're doing and end up bumping the car behind.

I guess the only downfall would be if they failed! My cousin's 03 Quests reverse sensor failed and i guess since he became so dependant on them, didn't bother to look back and he backed into a post. . .:S

I would trade the camera in my TLS for back up sensors. Maybe in a few more months I'll get used to the stock backup camera in the '07's, but for now it's counter intuitive for me. My natural instinct is to turn around when parking so the camera ends up just being a screen for the passenger to watch and judge my abilities.

More surprising to me is that Acura didn't include backup sensors as a stock item on the new MDX. That was the first mod I had to put in (the second was to replace the useless stock non-dimming rearview mirror).

I want to do a camera install. I wish someone knowledgeable would just paste the ENTIRE procedure in one spot on here. It's do-able with the multiple posts, though.

I believe the 2007/2008 TL's are the only ones with camera's? I know all of the 3G TL-S's have them (which are '07 and '08 only).

I would punch my car if it made noise while backing. The camera is a wonderful thing. I can get < 1" to objects day or night.
