how many coats for paint?
i need to know how mant coats of paint is needed to paint my calipers. iam using VHT caliper spray paint. iam in the middle now so i need an ansewer fast. thanks.

All I can say is follow the manufactures instructions. I’ve been in the application finishing business for 15 yrs. Be vary careful applying multiple coats before the proper drying time. You could wrinkle (or orange peel) the finish reacting with the coat below.

the can didnt specify the amount of coats so i put 3, in 20 minute intervals. like the can said and it looks good. what about if i want to change the color, do i paint over it or take it off. and can i get it off if possible. thanx

When I painted car parts (misc exterior parts), smoked taillights, etc, I waited 30-45 minutes between coats and waited even longer to do the clear coat. Also depends on the weather outside. If it is too cold or too hot, that can effect paint healing time.
