i ordered my TL last week (19th)
they told me i would get it middle of march or earlier...just curious how long did you guys wait from the day you put down the depoist or ordered it?
i cant wait to get mine and march seem a long ways

 

If you tell us the type of TL, that would help. My guess is a Navi as the demand far exceeds the supply right now.

I waited just about 3 months. I ordered and placed a deposit for my TL w/Navi the first week of November and took delivery on Jan 23 just as expected. I believe Acura is beginning to catch up on Navi orders, as the wait seems to be getting shorter.


BTW anyone know if it's possible to change your username. My username just isn't appropriate an more I checked user cp but could not change username.

 

I ordered my 6MT in August and received it at the end of December.

 

2 week wait

 

I ordered a NBP/Ebony w/Nav just before Christmas. Got the VIN # yesterday. Should be delivered 10-15 February. However, I think the dealer may have already had a order in for this car.

 

I ordered mine at the beginning of October and was told the end of December. I actually got it mid November.

 

I ordered mine on December 10th. They couldn't find one that matched my criteria (NBP/Ebony, 5AT, Navi) at another dealer, so they ordered it from the factory. I picked it up from the dealer on December 30th.

Ordered mine same day you did. I was told it should be here by Feb. 21. Antracite/Quartz/5AT/Navi. Build date is Feb. 2.
Of course eastern PA is a lot closer to the factory than Vancouver.

Odered my Red/Ebony/Navi the day after Thanksgiving. It is being built next week so I should have it in 3 weeks. About 3 months wait.

 

I had a G35 coupe on order (awaiting arrival from overseas) when the 04 TL hit the showrooms. I walked into my local dealer on a Tuesday (last October)...salesman said the configuration I wanted was arriving on Thursday (NBP/Ebony/NAVI)...test drove it on Thursday...bought it (and cancelled order on G35)...took delivery on Friday!

Thus, my entire wait was 3 days!!! Sorry guys.

Just passed the 3500 mile mark...and lovin' every minute.

 

100 minutes, including the call to see if they had the car I wanted, the drive to the dealership, and the office christmas party after the finance guy but before I got the keys. During the dead time, walked across the street and bought my first DVD-A. My idea of the perfect wait.

 

So tell me how all of you who got NBP/Ebony like that combo. I am seriously thinking of getting it, but have never had black interior.

Haven't ordered, but when I do, I'll let you know then change my User ID to Hava04TL....

 

Placed the order on 1/2 & picked my WDP Quartz MT non-nav on 1/26. Waited 3 weeks & 3 days, but got the build date on 1/2 and the delivery date for the car to arrive at the dealership on 1/20, four days prior to the dealer delivery date of 1/24. Really wanted it for the weekend, but the weather was lousy around here and it was definitely worth the 2-day wait.

 

Just a few weeks, and it arrived almost to the day they said it would.

 

My '04 TL (NBP/Ebony, 5AT, Navi) is my second TL (1st was an '03 NBP/Ebony, 5AT, Non-Navi). Personally, I love the exterior. Although a PITA to keep clean, nothing looks better when it's clean. As for the interior, I find that the Ebony looks best for me.

Of course, all of this is a matter of opinion. Mine is that this combination is best and I'd get it again next time.

 

I have a 2003 TL S (Wife's car) with Black interior in South Texas. I am waiting for my 2004 and I ordered a NBP/Ebony w/Navi. I think the ebony on the 2004 looks very good. I was turned off by all the contrasts in the lighter colors (wood, aluminum, leather color, and dash & trim). The 4 different colors/materials just looked too busy for me. I like the way the aluminum trim and the carbon fiber goes with the ebony interior and the remainder of the trim. Haven't had any issues with the heat and the black interior and exterior. After the car sits out in 100 degree heat for a few hours, it doesn't matter if it's made of aluminun foil, it's still going to be hot when you get in. All you can do is get a dark tint, a sun blocker for the windshield, and a car with a good A/C. I have also had black interiors on 2 Accords and 2 Maximas and never been sorry because the black doesn't show the dirt.

 

I ordered mine April 7th 2003.
waited 9 months, and got it in December.

 

ordered September 22 (picked inbound vehicle), car built 9/30-10/2, car delivered 10/10.

 

I think it was perhaps a week from the time I first heard of the TL (about 3-4 days after its introduction) to the time I was driving it off the lot.

 

I ordered mine 1/3...... dealer found one scheduled for production 1/14-1/18. Shipped by rail then delivered to dealer on 1/24. I took delivery 1/28

 

6 weeks for Auto/NAVI

he suggested would i be interetsed in a black/black... w navi..
i was like ok... (i'm not a fan of black)

I acutually got a better deal with lougheed acura a salesman...
instead of dealing with Richmond Acura's owner Henry Ling or something...

 

so did you acutally get the black/black right on the spot or is it a shorter wait then the ssm ?

if another dealership has the car in stock first can they order it from that dealership? say if lougheed had black/black on the lot or recently delivered, could burrard get it from them?

dont really feel like waiting untilll march hehe

 

I think the dealers would go to other dealers to find out...

The sales guy said.. i could of picked up the car today.. but my parents and I decide to do it tomoloe...

They had a Black/Black in Stock.. in their Inventory...

I didnt' like the idea of waiting for a month and a half for a ssm w/ navi...

They probably had other colors like white, gold..
I also dont like the parchment/camel interior. They tend to get dirty very easily..

 

Ordered mine on the 13th of this month and dealer is telling me delivery around the beginning of April. I ordered a Black/Quartz 6MT w/ Nav & A-Spec which all the dealers around here told me is a hard to get combo and will take a long time to get. The almost 3 month wait time sucks but I'm sure it will be worth it.

 

I ordered mine MT6 Navi, Redundo Red/Ebony on October 6th and still don't have it so that's just about 4 months. It was supposed to be built on the 26th so i should see it in the next week.

I'm jealous but some things are worth waiting for.

 

Ordered mine(Black/Quartz 6Sp Navi) on 11/22/03 and took delivery today!!! (1/31/04) 42 miles!!

they forced me (convinced me) into taking the 6MT Anthracite/Nav they had in the back of the showroom, even though I wanted black.

 

Ordered my Silver/Ebony 6MT/Navi on Jan 5th. Build date supposedly Feb 24-28 and arriving at the dealership 10-15 days after the build date.

 

I just ordered Anthracite TL 6MTw/Navi on 2/10 and to be delivered sometime next week. I bought this from Northern NJ dealer.
When I stopped by Open Road Acura@East Brunswick, they had at least 20 of them sitting in the lot. I didn't make a deal with them because it wasn't the best price. If I paid $33K, I would have been driving by now..

 

I ordered mine on Oct. 8th and got it last last week - almost exactly 4 months. Redundo red/ebony, MT-6, Navi.

 

1 day. I told the dealer I wanted the first 6 spd they got, fortuitously, one arrived the next day! ABP/Camel, It wasn't my first color choice but I really like all the colors pretty much.
