Angry How to fix Door Edge Chip

My girlfriend opened the door twice that hit a concrete pillar and it chipped away alot of the paint on the edge of the door. What can I do to fix this? Do I get paint and gloss to fix it? Damn.......my girlfriend did it first......and i was like....wat the hell......she said sorry.....then she did it again. Damn! I need to fix this!

Don't let her ride in the car???

How bad is the chip? Pics? If it's not that bad, just get some touch up paint. No matter what you do, make her pay for it.

Why don't you just open the door for her?

Get the proper touch up paint from Acura. Cost: $5.00. No need for anything else. The touch up formula is different in that the gloss is mixed in with it. Depending on how bad it is you should be able to fix it without too much trouble. If it's deep don't try to fill it all in one application. A couple of thin coats is better. Look up the procedure on the internet. I'm sure there are dozens of places that will show you how to do it.

Oh, and make sure she "makes it up to you" in a special way.
Then kick her to the curb and find someone who has more respect. J/K

You should definately get touch up paint from Acura. If you're a bleeding heart perfectionist like I am, learn how to wet sand. If you look up wet sanding on the internet you can practice, but on someone elses car, like your girlfriends. Wet sanding is really easy and if you do it right, you won't be able to tell it was chipped at all. I'ts a technique that auto detailers use. For rock chips on the front of my car, I use a tiny needle and syringe I got at Walgreens and suck up some of the paint in the needle and apply it that way, let it dry, then wet sand it with 1500 grit sandpaper that I soak in water, then I apply a second coat if nessisary. After that I buff it with a smooth cut, then a little wax. I could post pics if you would like to see.

I did. Guess what? They chip just like the door edge does. But I guess if they got real bad you could always put a new door edge guard on easier than getting the door repainted.

I just used some touch-up paint on it and it doesn't look bad.

You can put the 3M film. There is a door edge guard available (same material that is used for clear bras for cars to prevent stone chips).

This way you may keep your girlfriend and have her pay for the damage till the rest of her life (or untill she runs away).
