Maybe you don't care, but there are obviously others who are interested enough to post in and/or read this thread. It is what the internet and this forum are all about, the exchange of information and ideas. Not everyone tells the truth and not everyone lies.

And there is a "what do you do for a living" thread, but the actual title is what is your occupation/how do you afford the TL? and it is a multi page thread with 578 replies and 2,439 views at the time of this posting.

So someone out there is interested.

Hi all - I thought this would be a good place to post my first reply since becoming a member (been lurking for about 7 months - never really posted). The fastest I've ever gone, after the break-in period, was 144 mph while racing a '05 3.5 SE Maxima. I was about 2 car lengths ahead of the Maxima when I decided to slow down because I could see cars far ahead of me and didn't feel like manuevering between them at that speed.

i believe the ones with pics..... the pics are the proof, i am just saying that all the other people are probably not telling the truth (that claim over 120) unless its a repudable person....

another style of proof, for example: my friend (18 years old) just got back his license after it was taken away for a year because he was going 120 on the freeway. it was actually pretty funny, because he was racing 2 friends, and they were beating him. His friends got pulled over way ahead of him, then he speeds by the police man slamming on his brakes (so he was going above 120, to be caught at going 120). My friend gets caught and the other 2 guys that were ahead of him get away.

145 in Chicago I90 west bound. Previous attempts were 130'ish but too much traffic. TL does start to feel "light" over 120.. two hands on the wheel from 120 up.. I know, it's childish and not worth it... but something takes over and glues my right foot to the floor...

Side Note, my buddy in a "hopped-up" Supra turbo got a ticket. The Cop wrote on the ticket "was trying to pace at 150+, he was pulling away" he lost his liscense for a while.

Not going to take flash photo of my speedo doing over 120... I like to keep my eyes on the road at that speed. I don't have any crazy friends who would tolorate my driving at that speed either.

Don't have a TL (yet), but got the 1996 Porsche Twin Turbo to 191 on a racetrack called Loop 410 in San Antonio once. :) The lane stripes almost turn into a solid line at that rate.

We started to hit the gas (I had an accomplice, had to record the event :) at just before 410/Culebra. I mean, we were probably already going 90-100 or so. Before you knew it, we were coming up on Marbach at just over 190mph. That was at about 2:45a.m. in 1996 I believe. This was before that area of town was as packed as it is, before traffic was bad enough to prohibit you from doing this, and before the construction to smooth out 410 was completed beyond Marbach, so we decided to slow it down there. On the run back home, a Camaro wanted to race. He hit the gas, as did we. The Camaro seemed to stand still. He pretty much dropped back and exited to avoid the embarrasment when we slowed down enough for him to have caught up. What a ride it was :) One of the dumbest and yet most fun things I've done.

When i was driving up to school in passing through CT i passed a line of about a4 trucks and pushed it to 104.

Dumbest thing I ever did was in high school. Went 91 on a residential 2 lane road on a crowded day. Friend in a Jeep thought he could keep up.

I did 145 mph... on my 12/13th time behind a car wheel... almost gave a friend who was coachingme how to drive a heart attack -_-
never go above 100mph after I got my license... somehow owning a license chickens me out, lol.

125

125 up in NH coming home from skiing. "Luckily" the cop wrote me up for 105, sent me to court, lost my license in NH for a month, had to go to court to pay a $1000 ticket, and $100 to get my license re-instated in NH. Yah i'm all set with that ever again.

135MPH going against 2001 Honda Prelude.. I could over look about half mile ahead me slowing down so I didn't go any faster.. I don't want to slam on my break to wear out my pads quickly (at this speed, i'm already wearing it our more than normal usage)...

well....since we're competing for the title of the craziest mofo....120mph on Verrazano bridge going from Staten Island to Brooklyn, 120mph 2000 Maxima SE with only mod being Pilot Sport A/S on stock 225/50/17s rims. Yea...you can tell the cop you weren't speeding, just trying to catch up to all of your friends....and you can't see them because they are that far away from you. 140mph otherwise in Connecticut with my mother sitting next to me. Luckily everyone else at the time was going 110+ so it didn't seem so bad from the inside.

Sebring Raceway--back straight--about 135
too hard to look down as enter brake zone
was stable. had to let almost 10 psi out of each tire and to compensate for heat to keep it stable.
tl performed admirably, taking down boxsters and older 911s. able to pull in older boxster s in straights and gave ground in twisties.

Looking at the ages that are posting these idiotic speeds on here it's not surprising you have a lot of growing up and maturing to do. Anyone who does some of the speeds listed on here on a public highway like a Parkway or Turnpike when there is other traffic should be thrown in jail. What the hell is the matter with you people ?

If you are in a mid-western state that's flat and you are on a long straight road and you are sure there is no other traffic, that's a different story.

If you want to wrap yourself around a pole and turn yourself into something that looks like it's gone through a meat grinder, then be my guest. I am more concerned with the innocent people you could kill with your moronic behavior.

As for the jerkoff that decided to take a picture of his speedometer with his camera phone while traveling at 110 MPH.....well there are no words that can even describe the stupidity of that act.

You want to open up your TL ? Then see if you can use a track where you don't risk killing anyone other than yourself.

While racing a 2002 Mustang Gt I looked down in 5th gear and was just over 150. It was the most stable vehicle at that speed I've ever driven. And there was more room to go.

100 on the FDR drive in NYC,
120! On I-95 crossing the state line into Florida

... I plan on hitting 140 after getting a few mods done.. The limits are definitely breakable.
