How does a Type S sound with just a removed 3rd cat?

I would assume you are talking about removing the mid muffler. There is an extensive thread on the different stages of exhaust modification if you search for it.
I have the mid muffler removed with a straight pipe through and it did make it purr more when you give it throttle. Cruising or idling sounds stock.

To the OP, it will sound pretty much the same. Although when I had an aftermarket exhaust, I had a "pop" noise during high rev shifts with the 3rd cat delete
