How does my TL compare to a 325i?
ok, recently bought an overpriced 2006 TL - no navi, certified.
I like the car and have been enjoying it, but can't get over why I chose the TL over a 2006 325i. I can get a 2006 325i, with less options / package for about the same price.
Here is what I've thought:
1. TL comes with standard premium package, that BMW charges around $5K for it. Xenon is a $800 charge on BMW. To think about it, I don't need heated seats, I live in Los Angeles. Lol.
2. 2006 BMW (the new model) has very ugly taillights. I am not loving the TL's taillights much better anyways. I love the 08 non s type taillights. Could we replace them with the 08?
3. 325 or 328 is probably slower than TL but they have better handling. Correct me if I am wrong.
4. Used BMW comes with optional maintenance program which can be purchased for around 2K (according to my roommate, who is very proud of his BMW). Isn't this very nice?
Ha ha ha, I need your help for convincing me I didn't make the wrong choice.
Though, overall, BMW 3 series is too small.
Thanks

bro are u serious? now if you were talking about a 330i or 335 it be a different story. My boy in VA was thinking about buying a 328 last weekend and took it out, test drove it and he said really "drove it" and he said it sux!! doest even compare to the TL. You def made the right decision, by the way he ended up with a 335 loaded with the Aero kit...Jet Black absolutley sick..for 550 a month 3 yr lease... u made the right decision

i won't go into all the reasons, but yes, you made the right decision by going with the TL...
besides, it's much more original when you say i drive an Acura TL rather than a BMW anything (unless it's an M6 or something)...everyone and their 16-year old daughter drives a fucking bimmer...

1) Like I said the TL is a better deal.
2) I am pretty sure you can upgrade your taillights I mean they are the same size just different styles.
3) You are probably right.
4) 2k gets you oil changes every 15k, maybe brakes depending on how you drive, and some other fluids (tires are NOT included). I am assuming this the 100k one since the 50k is standard so maybe it would be worth it maybe not.
Anyway you have the TL now so enjoy.
