How does this '07 Type-S look?

Used 2007 Acura TL Type-S 5-Speed AT for Sale in Wexford PA 15090 LW Automotive

Been looking around for awhile for a WDP Type-S with black interior. Carfax is good, my main issue with the car are the rock chips on the hood, is that even fixable? And I'm almost certain the 105k hasn't been done on top of the fact I'd have to ship it to California.

It looks real clean in my opinion and the carfax supports that it seems to have been well maintained. I would not worry about the cosmetics. I'd worry more about negotiating price especially if the 105K job has not been done yet.

GLuck!

Price doesn't seem that great for the mileage and that it's an auto. Since you live in Calif, I would definitely keep looking and buy one from a nice dry climate in Calif than from Pa any day of the week. Cars from Places like Calif, AZ, Florida don't typically see snow and road salt, etc.
I've purchased an Acura from AZ and one (my 07 6MT TL-s) from Florida and brought them back to Nj. The only other car I purchased from my area that was in similar condition was one that was a rare find that was garaged and never was driven in bad weather (the black legend in my sig)

Looks very nice... And if it were closer to Philadelphia I'd look at it for you.

Shipping it to California? Not at that price or mileage.

There are others, closer to you. Just be patient

That stick on "carbon fiber" trim kit is tacky as fuck and a bitch to remove. Ask me how I know.

As for rock chips- you can cover them with touch up paint (which protects the metal, but looks like shit), or you can get the front of the car properly repainted and have rock guard film applied to the front. Don't skimp on the paint job price. Or you'll regret it. Ask me how I know (from a very long time ago, lol).

Pictures lie. Especially with white cars. Gotta check out the car in person to know what kind of shape it's in.

White is the ultimate deceiving color.
I used to own a 91 Legend in white and from a distance, that car looked flawless. But being the owner of the vehicle, I knew the flaws on it especially if you saw it close up. Hides scratches/swirls quite well too if the sun isn't directly on it showing all its blemishes that you can only see close-up.

Interior looks pretty good other than that tacky carbon fiber on the trims that aren't supposed to be there.

I also noticed a small white/black type of chip on the driver's seat towards the left side of it. Not sure what that is about.

Another small thing I noticed is when they have the full view of the hood/engine bay opened it, possibly one of the hood struts are out? or maybe both? They have a pliers or something holding it up lol.
Small fix obviously, but if you are considering this car, that might be something you can bring up and get the price dropped down if you plan to buy it.

An awesome car just by pictures and carfax. What about timing belts and maintenance?

Thanks for all the replies guys. Didn't even notice the wack ass carbon fiber till you guys pointed it out.

I think with being uncertain about the 105k service and the $1200 shipping costs, I'd pass on this one.

Thing is I've been looking about a month now, seems like California just doesn't have any white type s's, the ones that have come up usually have really high miles/light interior with a inflated price.

Oh well, one day the perfect WDP black interior Type S will pop up.

It still ultimately depends on you though and how much you are going to be driving this car.

Personally i put about 40k km/25k miles a year on my daily driver so someone like me cant be buying cars with mileage like that for THAT much money.

Ill run that car to the ground in a couple years if that.

But if you dont do too much driving, i mean it depends on how badly you want the car, it can still be an option but you have to kick that price down quite a bit regardless.

I went through what you are but on a KBP ended up buying my KBP from Cali and had it shipped east, way less than what you were quoted BTW. As a note though I dont know many people that ship a car from rust belt to a non rust belt state. Just my thoughts

Also the statement of a hands on is spot on for WDP. I went to see an exact copy of this car near me, 1 owner, detailed records, clean car fax, pics looked good. Got on site and seriously asked wheres the car in the pics as the pics were taken from every good angle and what I saw had no good angles.

Keep looking and be patient.

NOTE: if you find something in NoVa area I'd be happy to look at it and be a spotter Ive done it multiple times. Im very good on cosmetics and general appearance

I wouldnt recommend buying from LW Automotive. I live down the road if you want me to get a look at it for you sometime. They have been shady to a friend who bought his Mazdaspeed 3. Their prices suck and they wont move on them. They are kinda snobby too

I vote NAY

How is 120k a lot of miles for a 9 year old car? That's a little over 13k annually. Well within the average range.

Looks decent to me, but was it established if the 105k was done? I do like the Type-S in white.

They're about a second optimistic on the 0-60 time though. 6.1 is a bit more realistic.

Just looked through the pictures...that front end is really nicked up, with a big paint chip on the hood.

Yeah I know. I've only been looking a month. Like you said one will come along. WDP black interior, no drill holes on front bumper for plates, and under 100k miles all while being local. Haha
