the range of my remote on my 08 tl-s isnt that great. is there a way to increase the range? i dont want to upgrade to an aftermarket alarm or anything. and my battery has recently been changed.

not sure if this would help but, there's a method i've done with my s4 where I pulled the "antenna" from the rear quarter panel and ran it towards my c pillar and tucked it in that gap between the rear window. It does give me a bit of more range.
if acura has the same "antenna" for their remotes than you can probably give that a try.

It's the same principle at work as for phones for the deaf and hearing impaired, where they have no speaker and instead transmit sound through the bone.
It's one of those neat tricks that everyone always hears about, except this one actually works.
Wtf. Are the comments about holding it up to your jaw serious? I don't have signal problems, but I certainly don't want to look like a tard trying this if it doesn't actually help.
you think you have range problems? i have issues as soon as i get out of the car, i end up having to point the remote at the driver side dash on the outside for it to work.
freaking intermittent as hell. i have 2 fobs and 1 switchblade and they all do the same thing. if i unlock the door, i can't open the trunk for 10 seconds or vice versa.
the chin thing works most of the time imho.

You think the range on the TL-S is bad, you should try a TSX, they are worse. The hold the FOB to the head thing really works, I've done this many times. And you don't look like a tard, no one notices. You only hold it up there for a second.
yes siiir
and its only $325 on ebay, and easy to install if you know a little bit about
oh and the 5601 is $165 and its just as good but no two way remote
if you rather do the whole jaw thing ok..lmao
just get an alarm you will not regret it
im waiting on mine to arrive since i just got the car
Your cranial cavity, when you point the remote up into it, acts like a natural amplifier for the signal, which can boost it by about a third.
Here's an article that explains it in a bit more depth:

No, we are not pulling your leg on this one. This is real, it's pretty well-known and used (even if the science behind it isn't).
