How To Do Things at The Dealership
How To Do Things at The Dealership
like some people on this board, i am one of the younger 04' TL owners
....with that, also comes not knowing what the hell to do or what happens when you go to the dealer, there are a few problems that i want taken care of but i don't wanna go to the dealership and pay for everything, but i also don't wanna wait until my first service appointment because itll be too long, im already at 6k miles and i have Rear Deck Vibrations. and im anxious to get them fixed, ive read on here that they have a procedure that they follow with adding felt, or other things etc...my shiftplate vibrates something is messed up with my memory seating and some of the leather on my seats is damaged, i don't wanna get slammed for this but im completely clueless, instead of going and asking my mom what to do i come here because she won't know lol. but i was just wondering would everything be covered under warranty and would i be able to just take it in and get these things fixed? im completely clueless to this please help :-(
This is the place to ask. All of that should be covered under warranty.
If you have the time, you should make an appointment with the service manager, telling him all of your problems so he will know how much time to set aside for your car.
Then, leave it and hope for the best.
I'm not trying to be a wise-ass, but lots of people get very good service from their dealers, while others get totally screwed over. Hope you get good service.
You might tell us which dealer you are going to go to, and maybe someone knows something good or bad about that dealer, or another dealer near you.
With almost 6,000 miles on the car, you might be ready for an oil change, so you could get that done at the same time. Tell him you don't want any of the high-priced service they offer, just a simple oil and filter change, should cost about $25-35, unless you are one of the lucky ones who gets some free oil changes from his dealer.

Knowledge is power. Read your warranty book so you will have an idea of your options in the event of trouble. Have a list of your concerns so that you don't forget anything. Be calm and polite, request rather than just demand. Don't try to tell them how to do their jobs. Give them a chance to do what they do. You are off to a good start by asking here first. Just my
if everything is under warranty will i have to pay anything? like processing fees or something around that origin?.....my dealer is DENVILLE ACURA...not exactly the best of dealers but its the closest one
No. If it's warranty you're only responsible for leaving the car so they can work on it. There shouldn't be any extra charge.
Even certain wear and tear items (brakes, wipers, etc) can be covered under warranty if it's understood that they're causing a problem.
