How is this deal on '08 TL-S

Recently saw a 08 TL-S Black/Black at 120k miles and this dealer wants 16000 out the door that will be including Taxes and Fees.

I have test drove it and runs pretty smooth and the exterior and interior are clean as well and car fax indicated no accident of any kind.

Please let me know what you guys think and any comment are welcome

Thanks

Sounds like a good deal. It's an '08, so the miles are probably mostly highway. That's a great price considering it's OTD, so you should jump on it!

auto or manual?
matching VIN number on body parts?
105k service done?

$16 OTD is a decent price (but the mileage is a bit high...i would try and offer him 14ish and see how it goes)

it is 5AT and yes all body part (doors, hood, fenders, and etc.....) seems all original and as far as the 105k service will have to double check (although i can have someone do that for me a low cost just pay for the parts)

If the 105k hasn't been done, it's definitely something that should be negotiated into the purchase price even if you can get it done on the cheap afterwards

^yeah it's an OKAY deal...could be better. KBB rates it at $17.5

as long as everything checks out and it runs good, i'd say go for it if you love it.

120k miles is a lot to put on for a 4 year old car. thats 30,000 miles a year...so i assume these are mostly all highway miles (commuter car) in which case...that's good!

I say keep looking since your looking for a 5AT. You will definitely have a better shot finding lower miles for the same price. Unless they discount the price or give it to you for the same price with the 105k service, I would keep looking.

OP the price may vary by the region where you live, I have seen a Type S MT with 125k miles sold for $13.5k by an Audi dealer in my state before so I wouldn't call that a good deal. However if you saw that is the lowest price you can take then I would say look at the 105k service and get it.

what states are you located at?

In LA area the this is the cheapest I have seem in the past month.

every where else are all asking for 20k+ after all taxes and fees.
There is one at 40k miles and dealer asking for 30K =/

^^^ surprise me that they want that much for a Type S in LA because most people there want to use G35 and IS350. I am located in CT, the price range for 20k+ is for car with 60k miles or under lol. Here is some listing near me that may fit with your budget.

Type S price has been increase compare to couple years back, I remember back then where with $18k-$20k can get you a TL-S with under 55k miles, people who hunt the for a used TL-S doesn't help with the price also.

Thanks for the information and yes it seems like here in los angeles everyone is asking for more as compare to the east coast area. As of now this is the best I can find I guess.

Bought my 07 TL-S 5AT with 96K a month ago in Atlanta for $17,600 out the door and that was the best I could do after 3 months of looking within 100 miles. I looked at a few that had around 75K miles but the cost jumped to about $21K. Sounds to me like you're getting a pretty good deal.

16k OTD is a pretty good deal, As long as the car is clean, drives good, and was well taken care of then you'll be fine. One of the guys at my work has a TSX with 235K miles but it still drives smooth and you would not be able to tell there were that many miles on it unless you looked at the odometer 0_0

Maxi, we have a cool feature here on Acurazine in the lower right hand corner. The middle item is a multi-quote button. It allows you to respond to more than one person in a single response. It's easier than doing multiple postings!

I would offer lower for sure. And If it has not had the Timing belt service, then I would definately be making a lower offer. For me, I would not buy a car with that many miles. I never have and I hope I never will, unless it's like a collectors item or if they are only asking like $3k for the car (any generic car). I just don't see any value in a car with that many miles unless it is dirt cheap. TL-S or Corvette or whatever. All cars break and when they are worn out, it is not worth much at all. It's like, Hey I have this really great corvette out back, but it doesn't run.. Oh.

Amazing deal. Congrats Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.
