How could this happen to my car?
OK I recently took my car to the dealer for a bent rim. Not sure if this is related or not but here goes. The other day I looked down at the bottom of my driver side door..the leather/vinyl on the bottom of the door is all chewed up and ruined.
I have NO IDEA how this happened....
I was thinking maybe they put my car on the lift with the door open and then tired to shut it while it was up on the lift and it may have caught the door jam?
I couldnt possibly imagine how I could have done it. Its a spot where there is no contact with anything really...I dont wear cleats or anything in my car...
Has this happened to anyone?

Metal bootlace hooks do a number on the vinyl map pocket covers (maybe the same problem for your car). Unfortunately, I know from 1st hand experience by pulling my boots thru the gap while closing the door a bit too quick. Pinning it on the dealer is near impossible after you leave their shop.
