Yeah.. i had accord before and there were so many odometer/speedometer mods u can do to it..
i am literally getting sick of my speedometer gauges.....
please don't tell me to get a new TYPE-S because i just can't. lol.

SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE IT, i'm sure many of us 04-06 people are interested in purchasing the newly designed odometer mod..

God.... hate my 04 odometer after I sat in 08 type-s. hurting my eyes real bad. so ugly. damn.

sorry. i was just frustrated how beautiful the type-s gauges were.

you say that you just can't get the type-s gauges, but you only hated your 04 speedo after you sat in the type-s' lol.

curious on how you'd mod a digital odo though...

Nah you dont want faceplates for our TLs...I agree with you 100%, I have a 05 and I prefer the gauges on the 07-08 TL Type S. I think we are just stuck with our gauges, nothin much that can be done or else I think someone would have already figured something out and post a DIY on it or something.

is there specific reasons to why we shouldn't have face plates?
like an electrical issues that may arise?

But because of how our speedometer is designed I don't think it can be done. If someone else thinks it can be done, then go for it and post some pics

Switching the faces wont work, they numbers/gauges are in different positions, and re-doing them would be tedious and would result in an awfully looking, pieced together cluster with glue lines in it. You could always figure out the wiring and hope the MID interacts with the car properly....

Welll everybody has their own taste. Wether blue or read, they both look good. But if you were to change the gauges to blue in the type S, then you would have to change the rest of the console lights to blue to match the gauges. I doubt anybody wants to do that, although it would be a one of a kind.

I think both gauges looks hot. Another problem you going to run into is that the MID in the TypeS is in the middle, while the 04-06 is on the right.

Have you tried putting the brightness setting to "MAX"? To me, there's a huge difference between the brightness level set so that all of the bars are full and the actual "MAX" setting (with the latter looking clearer and much nicer).

The OP might want to try doing this too, if he or she hasn't already, because it makes the gauges look better, in my opinion.

Type S gauges are excellent, even the whole red led dashboard, makes it very easy on the eyes at night, I love it. I like it dim... I even turn off my LCD.

Ok Ok, I have often wondered this myself. After driving a 07+ a couple times, I def prefer their gauges as opposed to 04-06... But I like 07-08 base, not the type-s. Red is fugly!

So, if you had the entire thing. 3 gauges, and the plastics pieces that they fit into. Could it work? I know the mid is a little different in a 07+, but are they the same size? If so, could you just move over the original MID to the middle, and vailo? I realize the milage would be off...

Yep, everyone who doesn't have Type-S thinks it's fugly...of course...

At least we don't look like a honda accord with it's gauges

Hey to each their own, but when I went from my 04-s to a 08 type-s I loved the gauges, just not the red.

This has to be doable. It's just who is man enough to rip their shit up olol
