does anyone know how? or know of a DIY?
i recently noticed that the trunk lights are just not light enough, so i figure some super whites would go nicely in the trunk and possibly where the visor mirror is. so naturally i explore. and i take out the trunk piece where the light is, and im confused with what to do, i don't know how to take it apart or anything can someone please advise me

NFLblitze1,
The problem with the trunk light is that it sits in the housing sideways. It is also recessed in too far to be very effective.
Here is what I did............ I bought two of those three LED lamp housings from Superbright LED's and mounted them in each corner of the trunk. I aimed them so that they point to the opposite corner of the trunk. They really help. Let's see if this works.......

All it says in the service manual is to carefully pry out the trunk light, so it shouldn't be too hard.

i did pry it out, its not like a normal bulb, its almost like you need a special bulb to do it, but it looks like a normal bulb attached a certain way, does anyone have any input?

The specs show it is the same 12V 5W bulb used in the vanity mirror lights and the ceiling light, and I don't remember anyone saying they they were different from regular bulbs.
But I have heard some people say they squeezed too hard trying to get the bulb out and it broke in their finger, so be careful.
