Homelink question

I am trading in my 05TL for the 08TL-S. I programmed my homelink with some garage codes a while back and have since lost the remotes. Is there anyway to "copy" those codes from old TL homelink system to the new TL before I turn it in?

I am thinking no, but thought I would ask anyways.

Any help would be appreciated.

No you will need to reset the codes on the new car. I would make sure to erase the codes on the old car as well.

You should be able to re-program your 08 TL-S when you get back home as long as your garage opener is somewhat new (last 10 years or so maybe?). These should have a rolling code - you follow the steps in the book, press a button on the actual motor / garage unit then go back into the car. So, this way you don't need the old remote.

If you're talking about other places, like a garage at your work, this might not be as easy...

Oh yeah, regarding deleting the old codes - I'm sure you know how to do this since you didn't ask - but just hold the outside buttons (1 & 3).
