edit: actually thinking about it more...i highly doubt you took that 45 degree onramp at 90mph. I've sat in an nsx in the hands of a very very good driver and going into a 45 degree turn at most....was maybe 70...75mph. Being that was in an nsx...i highly doubt your tl actually remained planted doing 90 in a 45 degree turn. Not trying to attack you or anything...just stating that your story seems highly incorrect

You guys are lacking one critical data; how long is the on-ramp stretched out :\. I guess most people assume that it's like a short little one laner that's 50 feet long or something.

Ahh, your a crappy driver? RX330 does .75 on the skidpad and TL-Aspec does .90 (both results per C&D). The all over acceleration of the TL is also better than that of an RX330 by a LOT.
JK about the crappy driving, I really cant explain the inhibility to catch up though.

If he was doing 90 through the corner the RX330 must've been doing 110. People have always wanted SUVs to handle like sports cars, whodathunk it would have been the RX330 that would have answered that desire.
He still hasn't addressed the VSA question. If it's ON by default, why didn't it kick in if you did in fact oversteer the TL?

I think VSA was ON and VSA is to blame for the oversteer. On a front driver that naturally over steers when going around a curve and carrying a lot of speed you have to turn the steering wheel by a higher degree to overcome the understeer. VSA on the other hand tries to force the car to go where steering wheel is pointing it to. So VSA probably applied brakes to one side or just one rear wheel of his car causing the oversteer. I had a similar experience with 2002 TLS when car did not want to go into a turn and the suddenly oversteered almost sending me into a wall. All in all VSA is probably not very appropriate for FWD cars with heavy understeer.

VSA and all stability controls reduce the risk for single car accidents significantly. Look up that report from the IIHS or NHTSA. VSA will not force you out of control. I'm not denying you might have had a bad experience, but in general, VSA does much more good than it will harm.
