Hit by Hockey Puck

My son was praticing hockey in the driveway and hit my 05 TL with the puck. It hit in the back and cracked the plastic just over the reverse light. Does anyone know what part I need to get and best (cheapest) place to order it from? Also, how difficult is this to replace.

Thanks for any help!

Get him the hockey ball instead of the puck. Sounds like he busted the garnish around the back up lights. Hondacuraworld.com should have it at a decent price. May I suggest putting the goal net behind your car for protection........

Thanks for the hockey advice. I guarantee he won't be practicing near my car again .

I just spent some time looking at http://curryacuraparts.com/ and hondacuraworld but can't seem to find this exact part. Does anyone know the name or part number for this?

It must be lights as well.. I swear I saw this for sale on CL or ebay for like $20.. GL finding it.. I'd even post a BM entry.. otherwise..

I've used similar kits.. with some success.. nothing great and nothing near new though. If it was a clean break I would try a repair.. sand the edge a little so the epoxy / glue has some bite and let it set for a day.. You may have to press in the crack for a few minutes to let it mend though.

Majofo-

Thanks for finding this...#23 is exactly what I need but $200+ hurts. There is a hole about the size of a quarter in the plastic in front of the reverse light but the plastic shattered into many small bits that cannot be glued back together. I'll try my luck on the BM. Do you know if rain getting in through this hole will cause any problems in the short term?

It shouldn't hurt.. try to ghetto rig a plastic bag with some tape in the mean time.. I'll keep my eye out for that part and PM you if I find it.

i can do just as much damage with the the ball as i can the puck....some of thoes outdoor balls are pretty hard, i have one that is made for cold weather....its pretty hard and has some good weight to it...i guarantee i could bust out a back window with it from short range, say 15 feet....

Check Craigslist for a salvaged TL where you can rip parts off of. That will be your best bet to get what you need for dirt cheap.
