High Miles....3G

Ok, so after a response from another post, I thought it would be interesting to see who has the most miles and what if any problems you've had in that period of time.

Car:
2004 Blue TL auto non/nav (purchased in Aug 05 w/36K)

Mods:
18" Enkei Evo 6
Lip Spoiler
K&N drop in
Mobil 1

Current Mi:
107,256

Problems:
bank 1 o2 sensor went at 75K
brake/VSA/ triangle w/! lights all came on at 60K (any help with this would be great...was told it was wheel sensors, but 04 doesnt have them; then was told it was brake light switch, replaced, not fixed; and the last one told me it was the brake fluid sensor in the master cylinder and that the whole master cylinder would have to be pulled to fix it...car still drives fine with the lights)

I read about other 3G owners having the VSA light on, but they eventually got it fixed.
Maybe one of them will chime in

Thats a lot of miles!

Car: 2004 Acura NBP TL 6MT (Purchased July 2004)
Mileage: 28,500
Problems: My factory installed lip spoiler started to lift so the dealer replaced and reinstalled. Only one rattle that was also fixed be the dealer... Other than that, the car has been great

2004 SSM TL - Took delivery December 2003, 13,600 miles now and zero problems. New battery at the three year mark and Michelin Pilot Sports at 10,000 miles. Should have less than 20,000 miles the end of next year when the fourth generation TL becomes available.

In order to have ABS you have to have wheel sensors. Are you sure you're not getting wheel speed sensors confused with tire pressure sensors? The most typical cause of an ABS light is a faulty wheel speed sensor. Have you had the code read at a dealer or any place yet? Don't go throwing parts at it until you know what the trouble code is.

On a more on-topic note:

'06 TL 6-sp. 17,500 miles

Vehicle was in for the reformulated trans. fluid change at 15k and now at 17k the driver's side window is making a crunching sound. Gotta get that one checked out.

76k here on my 2004 Anthracite.

Here is my rap sheet:
2 Transmissions come and gone. First one, not necessarily bad but we'll never know.
Rattles still from my rear Sub and some rattles in the passenger door. (don't care anymore)

Rear bump stops had to be done, rear tires went bald on a 3,000 mile cross country drive. Fronts were completely fine.

Heat Shield still makes noise. (living with it)

Had the shocks replaced. Heavy load and cross country drive beat the hell out of them.

Getting my HFL replaced tomorrow.

Otherwise, the car drives fine

Believe it or not, over the last 20k or so, the rattles and squeeks have mysteriously gone away. BTW, I still average 26-29 mpg

bought an 05 TL new. currently has 30, 100 miles. issue (1) battery died on me after a year of ownership and it was replaced under warranty. (2) recall on fuel pump relay performed by dealer under warranty ( not really an issue because the relay never went out on me and (3) had the driver's seat leather replaced under warranty because of discoloration.

2004 TL, bought bone stock, 5 miles on the ODO at delivery:
Mods as per my sig.
73,000 HARD MILES ... more to come.
MPG new: ~25 highway
MPG now: ~ 33-34 highway

Problems:
1) Rotors re-surfaced twice (warpage)
2) Rattles (some fixed on my own, others left unfixed by myself or dealership, who cares, turn the radio up!)
3) Right rear view mirror getting choppy .. needs to be replaced (lubed twice by dealership)
4) Subwoofer blown at 20k miles .. replaced under warranty
5) left front tweeter grille came loose, dealership fixed it

Don't know why so many people complain about rattles ... i've always just turned up the kick ass stereo on the TL and enjoyed my XM radio (can't live without that). I've gotten more compliments on my now nearly 4 year old TL than ANY other BRAND NEW car I've ever owned. Love the Aspec TL.

Oh shizzz!! 107,000 miles?! My moms 98 Civic LX we bought in Oct 1997 has around 112,000 and my dad's 1990 Integra that he bought before I was born Has arond 150,000...

My 06 TL has almost 12,000 miles, we bought it last August 1, and took delivery on the 2nd with only 4 miles on it =)
As for my warranty work. At 349 miles we had to have the transmission replaced. My car wouldn't go into reverse after 2 days =/

2006 TL 5AT

300 miles, dead master cylinder, bad VSA something. Replaced
400 miles, dead master cylinder (2 days later) Replaced
600 miles, dead master cylinder (same week)
Brakes Bled, Lines tested Replaced

3k miles, psngr. door rattles, blown speaker (probably my fault)

22k, rotors are SHOT...

How did some of you get that under replacement?? Acura probably wont help me cause of my suspension & rims. could probably take the rims off for the day, but dont think that'll do me justice

BTW, never had a problem with the cylinder again.. 1 more time, and Rallye was going to replace my car.

Ive had to replace the windshield wiper motor at 95k,
Sub rattles of course but everyone knows thats the high mount brake led.
On my third or fourth set of tires.
and all the doggone lights in the instrument panel are going out one by one.
Seal around the sunroof is deteriorating
Parchment interior is discolored from wearing jeans.

I have an 05 TL-NAV that I purchased new in June '05. I've got 134K miles (I travel quite a bit for my job). I've had all service work done by my Acura dealer at the recommended intervals and the only issue I've had (knock on wood) is that the steering wheel light for my cruise button had to be replaced. It's been a great car...

Bought our 05 RRP Navi Tl in Nov of 04. Just rolled 50,000 miles. Runs like day one. Heres my laundry list.
1. Various squeeks and rattles
2. Cruise switch replaced
3. VSA switch light replaced
4. volume switch light replaced
5. Both sideview mirror motors replaced. (chattered up and down)
6. Front pads replaced under warrenty @29K for warped rotors
7. Navi recall software update
Still rolling on the original michelin tires too. These things won't wear out. I may have to help them along. I bought a set of the OEM michelins off craigslist and they will be going on before winter.

'07 NBP TL-S 5AT
Purchased: 3/20/07 with only 3 miles on the odometer
Mileage now reads 17,450

Only mechanical thing that went wrong was a faulty trunk release. I was on my usual road trip to virginia and when I got my bags out everything worked fine, the next day when I tried to open my trunk it wouldn't open, it was determined that the locking mechanism in the trunk was faulty and replaced under warranty, I drove around in loaner tsx for the day (ugh, I hated every minute in that thing)

Bottom grille/passanger fog light assembly was replaced after road debris incident on the Goethels bridge.

Two months after that small incident a lady decided not to yield the right away and turned right in front of me causing over $7K in damage. I was very happy that the engine didn't shift even an inch. It didn't take much haggling since it was such a new car, insurance agreed to replace every piece with oem factory parts.

Other than that everything has been smooth sailing. I did have one minor incident with the tpms after one of my long road trips, half way through it stopped reading the pressure and then a couple hours later it continued working fine. They told me if it experiences it again then they would just replace it under warranty.
