Here ya go, like I said not very bright. But they are "white" instead of dull yellow/white.

It's gotta be something to do with the power it's using. The car thinks there isn't a bulb there because it's using less power than the stock bulbs, so it's giving you the error.

i have a set of these bulbs too. the bulbs in my video is brighter and no DRL lights on the dash. and like i said VLEDs has a prototype harness that will give these bulbs full power and no DRL lights on the dash. i will be getting this harness in the next few days.

Hey DNPhotography...

The Prototype harness you talking about by VLEDs...

Negative. This harness will function similar to an HID harness where the bulbs will get the full 12V from the battery, but will have a relay that will switch them on, and be activated by the oem sockets. It will also have resistors built in so that you don't get the DRL light.

I'm waiting on this also. The more I think about it, the more I might ditch the LED's though. Once this harness comes out, you can put regular bulbs in there as they'll get the full power. The whole point of the LED's was to still get white light from the DRL's, even when using less power.

Any type of "hyper white" bulb in the DRL's with the low voltage will make them look yellow as usual.

if this does work i wont ditch LEDs. in fact i just might pick up a few more sets. right now i have the 5000K LEDs. i might pick up the 6000Ks and the amber ones.

I didn't even realize there was 5000K and 6000K. WHen I bought mine from V-LED, I only have one option. Can't wait til you try the harness, I'll be looking forward to pics. I've been talking to someone over at V-LED's and I told them I want the second harness after you! LOL

alright after trouble shooting and trying to find a solution we finally got them to work. LEDs at full power and both equal. one bad thing though the DRL light on the dash is on. but thats something i can live with. much brighter in person. ill try and get day shots later this week.

they are V-LEDS 5K HID WHITE 28 LED 2X BRIGHTER OUTPUT DRL/FOG BULBS HB3 9005 H10 9145

your leds need resistors. like someone said earlier, they run at a lower wattage. nicer leds and harnesses usually come with resistors in them to prevent that code

I just purchased a set of Hoen Endurances for the Fogs and would like the same "white-ish" light in my DRLs you all are talking about. Would a set of "blue-ish" or "purple-ish" tinted bulbs give a more white-ish color instead of the factory DRL color? Thinking about purchasing a set of eurodezign "blue" bulbs. I had them before as headlights on my 01 20th anniversary Ed. Maxima and was impressed.

DNPhotography, you're still getting a DRL light on the dash? Are there any resistors to trick the system? I know you had checked out this other thread that I started, is this V-LED harness at all similar to what I was thinking here?

yes i am still getting a DRL light but we think its a problem that can be fixed. there are two resistors to make the system think that they are lights plugged in. the problem, i think is with one of the resistor. further investigation is necessary but that will have to wait for the weekend as i have no time now.

the harness is very close as to what you have planned out with a minor difference.

but in the mean time i am getting full power and they look awesome! i had two sets of LEDs.

the passenger side is the V-LEDS 5K HID WHITE 28 LED
the drivers side is the version 1 68 SMT LED

i like the color of the drivers side better.

Love the color on the driver's side. What is the full name for that bulb and where did you purchase?

Whats the difference in a 35w 4500k fog light and a 55w 4500k? how much different are they going to look? will one be brighter or more bluish? I am going to order the ddm slim ballast kit and want some opinions. Is the install pretty much plug and play except for mounting the module?

That's great DNC. Can't wait til the harness comes outso I don't have to make my own...I have the original 68 SMT bulbs and they match my "Audi Style" LED strip perfectly. I can't wait to get it all burning at 100% brightness.

Well I have to say I really like the DRL LED bulbs I got (http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...-p5168723.html). I've had 2 random strangers compliment me on them.

Once, in traffic a CBP TL-S asked me if I bought the car with them, I said "no, I put them in" he said "looks really good man!"

and this morning as I am coming out of the McDonalds drive-thru a guy motions me to talk, he asked me where I got them from and did I have to do any wiring or anything. I told him where to get them and that they don't cause any warning lights in the dash.

So all in all, I am very satisfied!

Also, I got the ddmtuning 35w HID kit in 5000k for my fogs, and they are awesome! They are a hint whiter than my stock HID headlight bulbs, so I may be upgrading to those philips bulbs.

Thanks for making this thread WhteTLS!

For anyone with HIDs in the fogs, do they fire up everytime on Auto without a relay harness? I read somewhere in this thread that someone upgraded the fuse from 10a to 15a. Would that be enough to have them fire up every time?

And those DRLs look really nice....might be time to place an order

Mine have fired up everytime when left on auto or manually turning them on. I don't have a relay harness, just a 15a fuse.

I bought the original DRL kit (68 SMT bulbs) from V-leds over year ago along with the 9005 DRL WIRING HARNESS + RESISTOR. I have no error message with these. my only complaint is they are difficult to see during the day. Am I reading this thread correctly regarding the new harness making my existing bulbs brighter? or is that wishful thinking?

You are reading this correctly. I'm thinking of actually utilizing that harness that you and I already have along with the resistor that came with our kit and adding a resistor and a relay to make a version of this new harness. Once I get other electrical issues with my car figured out, then I'm going to tackle this.

I just installed the ddm tuning 35w 4500k fog lights today. they look great but they are a little more blue compared to the factory headlights. I am wondering if the blue will wear off after a little while?

Thanks for that comparo pic of the 2 new models of LED bulbs....I was wondering what the difference was. Is the 28LED really brighter than the 68LED as advertised? It doesn't look like it is.

Found this recently in the TSX forum. Would something like this work for our DRLs?

i just installed my DDM HID fogs 5k. i used a relay harness just in case since others posted horror stories about not using one. the fogs work great but the color is more blue and whiter than the stock HIDs. but overall i havent had any problems with them. and i would suggest you not getting the slim ballast from ddm because have a few friends who had bad experiences with them.

these are the prices...just in case.
ebay relay harness - $9.23 shipped
ddm HIDs 35W - $40 shipped

Why do you say that about the Slim Ballast. I put the Slim DDMs in my fogs.. been a good 2 months. Seems fine to me.

I put 2 sets of Slims Ballast in my Friends Accord Coupe. Worked fine too..

What kind of issues are they having?
