is it true if i wanted 8k hids for the low beams all i have to do is change the hid bulb and i can keep the same ballast?

 

yes as long as the bulb is a D2S bulb. I dont know why you would want an 8k bulb in the first place.

If your wanting a good output I would leave them. From a distance your headlights look blueish/purple anyways.

yea 8K's suck ass...i bought some off ebay and the light output is shitty....if u want color with light output u could go with 6K's instead...they have white with a hue of blue to them...

 

I ran an 8k setup for a while (see av) while you do lose output, IMO it's not that bad.With headlight's/fog's on a dark ass road I could still navigate just fine.(just headlight's visibility suffered)I drove my mom's accord with halogen's, now they SUCK ASS!!!! I did notice the difference when I went back to stock/3k fog's and now 6k but plan on running the 8k setup again in the future......

 

Halogen?....what are those..lol.....yea i have 5K's Phillips and those things light up the road like the suns out in front of me..i bought the 8K's for shits and giggles...i drove my dads Ford Contour the other day during nite time hours and i was like wtf are the lights even on...

 

I thought the Stock TL Headlights were 6k?
