So my driver side headlight went out, apparently its the ballast, I wanted to know whats all involved in the hid and is it possible to buy an aftermarket hid kit to replace it or do I have to go factory since it already has hids stock, also where can I find this stuff cheap, any help is much appreciated

 

Are you sure it's the ballast? It might just be the bulb. Switch the good bulb to the bad side and see if it lights up. If it does it's the bulb not the ballast. Also, check your fuses.

it's not the bulb, i had it checked by a mechanic and it kept blowing the fuse, he unplugged the ballast and the fuse stopped blowing, ther for its the ballast, the bulb is also bad because it burnt out before the fuse blew, i just wanted to know if i can use an aftermarket hid kit or not

checked all that, the headlight wouldnt turn on at all, like the ballast is dead which at 128k miles eh its kind of expected, the passenger side ahs been goin out since i bought the car at 111k, i jsut dont wanna spend 800 for both sides at acura, if one of these damn aftermarket hid kits fits id like to go that way but idk if it does since we have factory hids
