HID Headlight Question

I am wanting to switch out the Headlights to a 8K bulb. I know all about the less lumens but I had 8K in my last car and loved them. My question is since our TL's have Bi-Xenon's where do you guys get your bulbs? I don't mind paying extra for quality but just don't know where you guys go to buy bulbs. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I had 8000k bulbs from xenondepot in my last car, 04 mazda6s, they were fantastic. Had them for two years (until i sold my car), never a single problem and they looked amazing.

Try xenondepot.com, not sure if they have D2S though.

8K and quality - NO. Go with Philips Ultinon 6000K and You will be happy. Any bulb over 6000K don't have much guality.

And you say this why? Granted there is a lot of crap, but just because the visibility is lower with 8k bulbs doesnt mean there arent quality 8k bulbs out there. I just posted a site that sells quality 8k bulbs that Ive actually had an experience with. Have you tried every bulb over 6k or are you just posting garbage?

Curious of what exactly is the draw to 8k bulbs when 5.5K provides optimal lighting.

....what is the color range of the stockers?

I think the color range of the stockers are 4300K. I really like the blue output of the 8K. I am just really trying to find out if we need something different because of the Bi-Xenon.

Why not just do a color mod if you want more blue to showoff? Cheaper, well free, and no need to buy new bulbs. So that you can actually see at night(rain most important) and have people pat your back.
Bi-Xenon is just having a shield that flip up and down. bulb is the same. d2s

So its Aesthetics. Gotcha.

My favorite HID source of info... www.HIDPlanet.com

I just posted a thread there looking for tips to get more pop out of the stock TL HID Lighting systems. I've seen threads about polishing the lenses or just replacing them altogether.

I'd like to mod the stock projectors without buying new bulbs.

SparkLover: ZKW lens with our tl projector is the Hotness now. The other is the foreground mod which is bright but gives a dark patch area.

do you understand how the bi-xenon system works ..

its not the bulb that makes the system work ... when you activate the high beam .. the cutoff shield lowers by motorized mechanism .. there fore allowing all the light that would normally be blocked by the cutoff shield .. to BLEED out ... therefore you have high beams

the bulb is no different then any other oem hid bulb...

**EDIT ... just realized it was described above...****

if you are looking for a bluer color... Phillips ultinon would be the max imo ...

with the Stanley Projector in our car... the Philips Ultinon 6000K bulbs will give you a Purple Color... you will NOT get any BLUE what-so-ever... I had them on my car before switching to something different...

Here I have inserted a picture of the difference in color between the stock projector 4300K side by side with 8000K & 3000K HID fogs...

You should consider KAIXEN. They are an excellent company.

https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/kaixen-hid-kit-groupbuy-330409/

Kaixen is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer that develops and builds its own components (unlike some companies that buy them from China and re-assemble it). It currently holds E13, TUV, and QS9000 quality certifications. It is the only other company in the world (other than Phillips) to have developed the diamond-shape bulbs.
