Alright so normally id be happy and post pictures but i got to the place to pick my car up and they tell me il be so happy when i see them. They come to turn them on... they dont work so they make me wait for another out while they build a realy and htey play around with it until it works fix the fuse a few times so on and so fourt. Disconnect my batteryand reconnect it i dont know for what reason. Anyway they're working... so i come to leave and my hardwired radar doesnt work but they fix that in 30 seconds... now i come to leave after typing in all my navigation info and radio info and they work, i get a message on my navi screen saying: Transmission System P0966: and i have it read it to me... and its telling me my transmission might not be working properly so i try to call Acura and they close at 6 ET. It is now 7 pm ET. Is this message one of those messgaes that pops up every morning? Because im fuming right now. I need help. PLease help asap. Ughhh

Il make a short list of events....

- Go to pick up my car b/c i jsut got HID installed in my fogs.

- They werent working, so the place had to make a relay

- They worked i came to leave, my radar, didnt worked, they fixed that

- So im leaving the place and i come to check my daily messages in my navigation, so one of the messages is P0966, transmission problem. So i call my Acura dealer and he tells me theres nothing he can do until tuesday, bad news is im leaving sunday night to school (180 miles away from my home) He told me to call tommorow and theyre may be something he can do but he said no promises.

-So now im wondering if anyone else has received this message on their navigation? or is it just mine....

 

Could it just be a computer malfunction? ANd does anyone think it has anything tyo do with my newly installed HID fogs? I dont see how it could considering they dont touch the trans.

 

disconnect your battery again...then follow procedure on screen from the navi.....

i tried it and no luck... the message is still there and i cant delete it

 

is the message firing AGAIN ? or is it just that one message that popped up that you can't delete ?

the reason i ask is because .. while i was getting my tires mounted on my a-specs .. i was rolling around with stock 05 wheels with no TPMS sensors... and well... i got a bunch of MESSAGES about TPMS not working .. and the message setup will not let you delete them .. even now after having my TPMS sensors back and the system working fine .. the old messages are there and cannot be deleted.

I went to the dealer and they have to clear them by hooking the car up to a computer to erase them ...

while im not sure why you would get such a message.. it might have been a 1 time thing and you are seeing it over and over because you cant delete it

Not that im happy that this has also happened to you but im glad that it might jsut be something they have to hook up and delete quickly, cuz i dont even have my license plate yet and im already getting error messages at 600 miles.

P.S: It's just one message i cant delete.... argg

yeah ... if you go to the dealer .. they can remove the message.. but id be more concerned as to why that message was firing in the first place...

i know why my TPMS messages were firing .. so im fine that the messages were there .. but you are getting a message about a tranny problem ... def get that checked out

 

Well i took it to Acura (DCH in Montclair) and they looked at it and didnt find anything wrong with it, so i guess i'm good to go for now but they told me to keep an eye on it. I still think it's weird this appeared with only 600 miles on my car, but il give it time.
