Funny, I was just thinking about this this morning... I'd love to find out if it can be done.

I am sure it can be done, but it seems like a waste since the lights are right next to the headlights.

I was thinking about this. You are talking about the stock fogs right? I think that would look nice. You may have to get ballasts and an entire hid type kit, probably $500 or $600, my friend did them for his regular lights in a 03 Accord. FUnctionally speaking, since we already have HID regular lights, getting some quality halogen fogs would provide better overall light than just having all HID.

I totally agree, ppl probably wont be able to even tell if they are fogs or regular low beam.

You can get the kits from just about any aftermarket shop...they should run about $500-600 installed. I do understand the HID fog light thing, but right next to the HID headlights? Seems like overkill to me. On the other hand, I think that the HID fogs would look great in the traditional fog light location in the bumper.

If you are going to do HID fogs, IMO, you may want to be the first person to try a custom, lower bumper install.

Search ebay for used but if money is no option... brand new philips kit (the best) you can get for about $500 with i think either 1yr or 3yr warranty. I've installed it for a bunch of people already also. I am located in bklyn. You can get cheaper kits which are different brands. Do not get McCulloch or something like that, they die within a year or 18 months. Some of the other brands suck too so depends on what you want to do.

Let me know.

Btw, I do feel that the traditional fog light position is the best.

You shouldn't need a whole new kit; I was under the impression that the expensive part of a kit is the ballast, which you already have...

if you want to mount HID fogs in the traditional fog light position, you will need a dedicated set of ballasts, bulbs, and projectors.

Let me clarify it for you. Yes you have a ballast which IS FOR YOUR LOW BEAMS. One Ballast per bulb. You NEED a whole kit because you want to have two seperate bulbs for the fogs. Two seperate bulbs for the fogs means two ballasts as well. A HID Kit should include two bulbs and two ballasts. You SHOULD upgrade your wiring as well if you need assistance with this let me know or even with the install.

You will need this no matter where you plan to have them, in the OEM location or in the traditional location. Now for the traditional location you might have a harder time finding the right HID Ballast. Most of those aftermarket fog light kits are H3 bulbs... so you would need an H3 HID Kit which is harder to find but will be the same price though. You might be able to find other fog lights that use other bulbs, I haven't ever searched hard enough.

Pearl, we have the same exact car my friend, except for some of the mods of course. Very classy choice btw I personally dont see the need of HID fog lights on the TL, however if you wanted to upgrade the standard Xenons to something with say auto leveling, and a brighther hue, that could be done pretty easily. However it would be pretty expensive. Fog lights for most Honda's go in the front air vents directly below the headlights, and they are the (H) bulbs, and they are circular. The cost of trying to put some lights down there, would be a hassle and you'd have to deal with the standard intake on the TL. However, you could just put the HID fogs in the headlights, but you wont really notice much of a difference, because HID's dont project more light when they are being overlapped, they just blend into eachother. You also would have to worry about the position of the ballasts, and make sure your fog lights are n't pointing directly into other vehicles line of sight, which means you'd have to turn them to face similiar to your standard low beems, which would make them overlap, and thus you would lose any extra gain from them. Eww that was a messy post Forgive me heh

Yes, I have the HID fog setup with Philips 6000K. It looks awesome and bright. But I never ever get any high-beam nor blinds any incoming traffic.
PS: I bought this pair of setup for my previous 95 Legend Coupe. So, I just had a thoughts and put it one. NO REGRET AT ALL!!
