HID cut off

I'm still a newbie and still learning and I have been reading a lot about the cut off line on our HID's

I've also seen diagrams of:

_____/
____/

Something like that, but anyways. Here's a pic of my current light cut off and I feel like my passenger side is higher than the driver side, not sure but can I get some advise on it?

Also just a pic of how my car is sitting at the moment. Haven't done any upgrades yet as I'm still handling minor nick picks on it.

I think the left beam is actually aimed slightly lower.

And I also thought the same thing too, the left beam is slightly lower cause I did notice when my mom took it for a quick spin I noticed my right beam shining a lot more than my left beam..

That's not that off but you could bring the passenger side down a little. ___/----/----- sort of like that. Doesn't really matter as long as you have the dip on the driver side for oncoming traffic.

I believe that the driver side is aimed lower on purpose so that you aren't blinding other drivers on the opposite lane.

Kocyk123 is right with his diagram. Your cutoff looks fine. If anything the passenger side is slightly low, but it's not a big deal

Not sure why ppl are saying the passenger side is too high.

Alright a lot of you must be new to head light cut offs but here's a quick explanation.

FROM FACTORY the right headlight will be aimed higher when compared to the drivers side for 2 reasons.

1. So when your driving down a 2 way road your not blinding oncoming traffic.

2. To illuminate stop signs and other Street signs from a distance. Especially while driving on the highway

Cars equipped with halogen headlights are also the same

I don't agree. First off the lower step on the left side of the cutoff is what stops your lights from blinding oncoming drivers, not a slightly lower aimed left headlight. On your second point again, that's why the right side of a cutoff line moves up...to illuminate signs and things to the right of the road, not because that headlight is aimed higher.
Your point about from the factory it's aimed higher. Whether that's true or not, I have NEVER owned a TL or any other car that has had the right headlight aimed higher. New or used cars!! Oh, and not a single one of my TL's had the headlights aimed differently between the sides. I have had a few TL's....and about 13 other cars with projector equipped headlights. I'm not saying you are wrong, but I'm simply saying that I find it hard to believe that to be true when I have never seen a car with headlights not aimed "in sync"...and if they are I consider one of the lights to be out of whack.

You guys may be right. I had a 2009+ TSX come in for a inspection and I turned its headlights on to aim at the bay door and was surprised at what I saw.

For factory projectors they have a very clean cut off however it looks like a stairway.

Interesting. Strange how some cars have them aimed that way when IMO the majority do not. I even had a loaner TSX that were aimed like setup "C" in the diagram above, and not like the picture posted above by vietquanskta. Regardless of what's correct, I like the look of consistency between the sides, so my projectors will be aimed the same :-)

a lot of cars have improperly aimed headlights because everytime you take off the headlights, they must be re-aimed. most people don't care enough to do this. but for me since I deal with lights so often I was really OCD about getting my cutoff perfectly lined up.
