Hi, I was planning to get a Acura TL this summer. I am looking into a 04 - 05 Acura TL. I was wondering if there is a difference?

Watch out for transmission issues on the 04. This was fixed in late model 05's.

For this reason alone I would recommend the 05.

OP - please do not listen to Trew, he doesn't even have a TL. He thinks he has a TL because he thinks TL stands for Totally Lame, which is exactly what his car is!

If you want to learn, search. Seriously it's not that hard and many answers can be found with the wealth of knowledge already on this board. Some members on here have reported problems with their 2004 3rd gen TL, while other have reported everything fine an dandy since day one. At this point, if you are buying a used car its a crap shoot... you may find one that has had no issues - then again you may come across one that has had 2, 3, maybe 4 reman transmissions in it... you don't know...
