For the last year or so I have been led to this forum several times when doing research on Google. I have always found the forum very helpful and thought it was time I finally joined. I own an 05 TL which I love, despite a few minor flaws... and some not so minor. Yes, it has the infamous cracked dash issue . Anyway, thank you for having me!

Welcome aboard. Have you tried looking at junk yards to see if they have an undamaged dash that you can buy from them?

 

Thanks! The dash thing sucks, but it's not the end of the world. I just began what will probably be a long battle with Acura on it. I just posted a long comment about my progress and plan on one of the cracked dash threads.

Prior to my TL I had a Lexus ES300 and realized I'm not yet an old man so why drive an old man car? The TL is much more my style.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had thought about that but then someone on this forum had a good point. Since this is a common issue on this model, buying the same old dash from a car that's been baking on a junk yard lot might not be a great thing to do. I would hate to go through the trouble of installing it only to have it crack a few months later.

Welcome. About your dash, its not worth it in my eyes unless your dash is horrible or if you got into an accident. I have one for sale, but the dash is being sold with the air bags and it will be pretty expensive.
