Question help with tail light options

I recently bought a '05 TL w/navi (anthracite). I have decided that i need to do a little work to make it my own and i want to get rid of the red on the tail. i LOVE the clear tail lights that some have custom made, but i do not have the balls to try that yet. i am considering the tail light tint kits (vinyl overlays or the "static" cling ones) and considering the same products for my headlights and rear side markers.

my question is, do these tint products significantly effect the amount of light that is put out by the lights (heads and tails)? and do these overlays last for a couple years or more (i drive in Minnesota winters too).

second, i am looking to get my stock wheels powder coated to a gunmetal grey, or a flat or gloss black. does anyone have pictures of a anthracite metalic TL with gunmetal wheels?

Thanks,
looking forward to learning alot on AZ

There is a vendor here name BlueBatMobile that sales the tint overlays. They are very good quality and shoulds last for years. I'd check out the BlackMarket section under Group Buys.

I can also vouch for Blue Bat-I've got his tints for my headlights and love them.

I'm pretty sure it is illegal but dont quote me on that. I think just about every vehicle mod is illegal in NY if they want to give you a hard time

He has a stock bumper. The thing you see that is different is the A SPEC underspoiler body kit.

al, like champ said, his bumper is stock. it just looks different because it has the factory a-spec kit on it. makes a world of difference, don't you think?
