Someone else asked this recently and I will tell you what I told him.

If you want to remove the cushion, you have to remove the leather, which is hard and there are a lot of clips that have to come off.

There are 4 pages in the service manual for removing the seat cushions so I haven't scanned them yet.

Why do you want to remove the cushion? Is this something that might be covered under warranty, because if so it would be better to let the dealer handle it.

If you really need it I can scan the pages, but I would just like to know the details before I do.

Thanks Ron. I would not do it myself. The dealer replaced the leather and just can't get it right at all. The side bolsters are all bunched up and he claims that's as good as he can get it. I am taking it to a place that specializes in upholstery tomorrow (they agreed the dealer did a bad job). I'm sure they'll figure out how to do it, but I thought I could just leave the pages in the car to help them in case they have not done any TLs.

If they are in the upholstery business, they should not have any trouble with your TL.

I am resisting posting the scans for the seat cover removal, because actually it is about 8 pages, but the main reason is the air bag components in there. There should not be a need for most people to remove the covers themselves, and it is a big job requiring removal and reinstallation of lots of clips, so I am trying to hold off on posting scans.

I'd like to see the scans. My pass seat's heater went out and my driver's seat leather needs to be replaced (already have the new leather), just need to know how to do it.

You can access the seat heater by removing the hog rings that attach the leather to the seat frame. You will need a pair of Weiss heavy duty pliers to cut them - the rings are quite hard. To reinstall the leather you'll need new rings and hog ring pliers.

It's not a hard job, per se, but if you don't posses a proper amount of hand strength you'll never get it done. Easily the most physical "mod" I've ever done.
